Hi guys..anyone want to sign my petition? link Thanks for your support (or not) :-)...now where's the bloody smileys around here?! |
Daburcor? 06.07.2004 15:59 |
Ah, I thought you may be the same fairydandy! I think I already signed that... :P |
fairydandy 06.07.2004 16:06 |
This is a new one today, have you signed that already? |
Pim Derks 06.07.2004 16:08 |
no thank you. |
fairydandy 06.07.2004 16:15 |
Each to their own Pim. Personally I think it's a bloody sight better than that Flash remix, and a damned sight better than that Farnham WWRY(yawn) and other Queen+ offerings of late. |
Daburcor? 06.07.2004 16:24 |
I think If it had some stuff done to it (i.e. some tweaking by the band and Smash), It could turn out to be pretty cool. Though, I doubt it will ever happen. |
Josuè 06.07.2004 16:29 |
I think it would be great to be released, cause I really love the song and enjoy listening to it. But, I think that if the song has to be released, there could be additions on the mix to make it more spectacular, IMO. |
Daburcor? 06.07.2004 16:33 |
I think the intro should be removed/changed. It's the only part I don't care much for. |
inu-liger 06.07.2004 17:38 |
I think the intro should be removed/changed. It's the only part I don't care much for.I made two edits a few weeks ago, which both cut the intro. |
Daburcor? 06.07.2004 17:39 |
And how did it sound? |
inu-liger 06.07.2004 17:42 |
It sounds good. The vocals start somewhat much sooner, which is nice. Lessens the repetitiveness at the same time too. These edits were called the Radio Edit (how original :P ) and the 7" Radio Edit, respectively |
Daburcor? 06.07.2004 17:43 |
Cool. I don't like the intro. :P |
inu-liger 06.07.2004 17:43 |
Actually I think I did bring the MP3's with me to Ontario, and I have full access to the Internet, seeing as I AM at my Mom's, so there may be a chance I can upload samples somewhere...I can't do it on FortuneCity or Geocities or AngelFire, that's for sure, so I am not sure where I can upload MP3's for free. EDIT: Only problem is, is that the one PC I am allowed to use for Internet does not have a DVD-ROM, and being the DVD freak I am, I backed up all my CD-R's on DVD-R/+R and threw out almost all of my CD-R's, so there may not be a chance I can upload the samples anytime soon :P |
fairydandy 07.07.2004 06:52 |
Well we have 33 signatories so far...not really enough to persuade them just yet! Care to help anyone? |
Penis - Vagina 07.07.2004 06:59 |
Do you have the direct address of a petition.. something that doesn't require visiting the hell that is known as QOL? |
fairydandy 07.07.2004 07:06 |
Haha...sure thing: link |
Arnaldo "Ogre-" Silveira 07.07.2004 08:38 |
Signed already. This post is intended only to move the thread up in the noticeboard ;) Sorry about that :^O Cheers, Ogre- |
Q-Nick 07.07.2004 10:03 |
I'm with Pim- I really hate these remixes. If the outcome would have been like the Love Kills Rock Remix, my name would be on the petition. However, as it is a bloody awful-sounding Dance song, with Drum Loops and Computer effects. |
Penetration_Guru 07.07.2004 15:35 |
It may be better than Flash & Farnham (it may not, I haven't listened), but that's hardly a scorching recommendation, is it? |
inu-liger 07.07.2004 15:37 |
Trust me, P_G - it's much better than Vanguard's Flash remix |

Penetration_Guru wrote: It may be better than Flash & Farnham (it may not, I haven't listened), but that's hardly a scorching recommendation, is it?Well if Freddie was still around I'm sure we would be talking about something far superior...but he ain't...and as such these remixes might be as good as it gets nowadays. It's a bit of fun that's all, and it has Freddie on vocals..and if it was good enough for Elvis to be back at the top of the UK charts with a remix, then it's good enough for Freddie.;-) Incidentally I hate all of the Queen+ projects and all of the desperate live performances too...let's face it 46664 was an absolute washout! They might as well release this for the charity..it is far better than that dross. I do take your point though, but nowadays we have to settle for something less perhaps...or nothing at all? I think I know what your answer will be.;-) |
Penetration_Guru 07.07.2004 16:57 |
Would Freddie have settled for second best? |
inu-liger 07.07.2004 17:28 |
and if it was good enough for Elvis to be back at the top of the UK charts with a remix, then it's good enough for Freddie.;-)...only thing is, it already happened with Freddie 10 years before ALLC hit #1 in the UK and US |

<..and if it was good enough for Elvis to be back at the top of the UK charts with a remix, then it's good enough for Freddie.;-) > However, both "A Little Less Conversation" and LOMO '93 were far more commercially viable than this rather mediocre mix (don't get me wrong, I like it though). And in fact, even the Vanguard remix is more commercially viable. We may not like it, but there's a reason that it became a club (and chart) hit. <let's face it 46664 was an absolute washout!> 46664 provided us with new songs from Bri and Rog, which personally I prefer over any remix. Apart from that, neither me nor anyone else has to face what is merely your personal opinion. |

Are you always this aggressive? |
deleted user 07.07.2004 18:08 |
No, I'm rather lethargic actually. Certainly didn't mean to sound aggressive. Sorry if I did. |

Philipp Nothaft wrote: No, I'm rather lethargic actually. Certainly didn't mean to sound aggressive. Sorry if I did.I apologise too.. Now have you signed the petition? Haha... How the hell do you people post on here without smileys? Jeez... |
fairydandy 10.07.2004 19:54 |
*Bump* Sorry guys, I won't make a habit of bringing this to the top, but I do need to keep the petition going if I can..as futile as that might eventually turn out to be! Thanks |
Pim Derks 11.07.2004 08:11 |
I'm still baffled that people actually think this is worthy an official release. It's an EXCELLENT fan-remix, but who's going to buy this? Let's face it - all Queen re-releases in the past years haven't exactly set the charts alight... PLUS the fact that this was made to sound like it's from 1993 (If I'm not mistaken)... |
Penetration_Guru 11.07.2004 13:49 |
Would it still be Freddie's music? |
