Hi, I was listening last saturday to Love Kills Rock Mix from FM Solo Collection... If you don't remember it (or didn't hear it) it's a rock version, seemed live.
I must say i really like this version, more heavier. Do you like it?
Now, if Roger & Brian don't want to create new songs, and we don't want another "clown" frontman like the American Idol guy (at least, more than 75% don't want this kind of stuff, i guess), why don't they re-play the old song in a different way (and not just slightly different like Made In Haven).
Let face it, as someone here say, they are "P.O.B.C. (Pimpin' Our Back Catalog)", so why don't they do it right?
(Or at least let another people do it, as Love Kills example). I think they could give a new and fresh air to old songs, and that will be really "new".
Well, this is just a touhgt! ;)

Victory: originally a Queen track, but later re-recorded by Freddie and Michael Jackson in 1983. It was never released and some time later (re-)re-recorded by The Jacksons.
It is rumoured that Brian and Roger recorded backing vocals some time ago (early 2002) for this track.
Due to copyright and ownership problems it's hard to tell when and how this track will be released. But Jim Beach, Queen's manager, has some kind of plans for the unreleased Mercury/Jackson tracks.
Originally a Queen track? Why wasn't it credited to Queen then?
Giving new ideas to Brian and Roger...like hitting one's head repeatedly against a brick wall!
They don't have time, dear. The musical is consuming their every move/thought/breath right now. I'm sure all other projects are simmering ever-so-slowly on a back burner at this point in time.
So...no new DVD-A, no GVHIII...no new songs.
grr.....
No, it's in that Munich interview in which he spoke also about taking Radio Ga Ga and re-arranging it, and about the writing of 'Is This the World', and stuff like that. Very good quality. I don't think I still have the file though

And he also said he'd kill the fucker if Jackson would release it on his own.
The only solution to the "Queen" or not "Queen" dilemma :
R & B should release new solo albums (a B one and a R one) and do a common tour, in which they would play their new songs and Queen songs together.
They should have done it in 1998 already. It would have been a blast !

Sorry, I consider this idea as utter rubbish because I think they should not retire at all. I'd love to see them again.
The idea I liked most was both releasing another solo record, tour together and play the odd RGG and WWRY. ;-)

Yeah, but it seems (aside from the musical) nowadays the only thing they ever do is whore out Queen's good name to every boyband-of-the-minute... and I'm sure they may soon run out of songs to sell to adverts. I think they may have endorsed every single product. Ever.
I currently expect nothing more from them. Sure, they can go ahead and release solo albums if they ever get round to doing so, but it won't be Queen. I'm more than satisfied with the back catalogue, and don't need yet another ghastly WWRY cover shoved in my face.
