I had so much fun, I thought I'd share it with you guys.
Last night my friend and I played a short acoustic set across the street where there was a 4th of July party. They had a professional 2 man band there already. Well it started to storm, and they got rained out. The party was moved inside and they called on us to play for them. We had no preparation time, and we were begged to play. Kevin and Ester (the ones who threw the party) heard us earlier in the day goofing around with our guitars on the porch so they knew we could play.
So we played this little set:
My Best Friends Girl
Let The Good Times Roll
Blaze Of Glory
Dead Or Alive
Every Rose Has It's Thorn
Crow
Old Tennesse
The Sand and The Foam
The response was shocking. I sang and played while Matt(the friend) played along with me. I haven't been in front of a group of people (150) since the mid 80's! Kevin said as I was leaving:
I'm not wasting my money on those guys next year, your hired!
It was great fun!
