Anyone like "Rocky Horror Picture Show"? It's one of my favorite movies... |
Mr.Jingles 27.06.2004 14:21 |
I know a lot of people here do... The music is great, but the plot of the movie itself is awful. |
SergeantPepperDG 27.06.2004 18:06 |
Well, there isn't exactly a plot anyway... So, there isn't really much to criticize (unless you're criticizing the fact that it has NO plot). |
The Black Queen 27.06.2004 19:22 |
I LOVE "Rocky Horror Picture Show". Definitely one of my favourite films EVER. |
FreDRicca_MeRcUrY 27.06.2004 19:33 |
love it, but love tim curry even more:-) |
SergeantPepperDG 27.06.2004 19:36 |
Johnny Depp could play Frank N. Furter in a remake, as well as Freddie Mercury. Hehe. |
Spiderleg Synthia 28.06.2004 03:51 |
NO REMAKES! Tim curry is the only possible one for me. |
hamsters 28.06.2004 04:12 |
It's okay... I used to think "Oh this rocks.." but then i realised, it was mediocre, the music is fun for the ocasional party you know... but to be honest i discovered that the only reason i found it great was because thats what various subcultures i am fascinated by dictated to me. Thats no reason to like anything |
Mary Austin 28.06.2004 11:17 |
I love Johnny Depp and everything...but I really can't see him playing Frank N Furter. |

Many people here may associate Flash Gordon with Queen, but I associate it with Rocky Horror because of just one of the lines in Science Fiction/Double Feature ("And Flash Gordon was there in silver underwear, Claude Rains was the invisible man..." hey! Invisible Man! hehe!) |

Don't get strung out...by the way I look. Don't judge a book by it cover. I"m not much of a man by the light of the day...but by night I'm one HELL OF A LOVER... (anyone wanna take it from here?). I love the film too. Regarding the plot...I heard they filmed it in 6 weeks...so I don't think they were going for another Schindler's List. LOL...but that's ok...it's just such a fun movie to watch. Has anyone ever gone to a midnight showing with people who shout out the ad-lib lines or participate by throwing rice, toast, etc???? Also, did you know that the only person to give Tim Curry a run for his money when being cast as Dr. Frank-n-Furter was Mick Jagger???? LOL...made me laugh. |
SergeantPepperDG 25.07.2004 11:50 |
I want to go to one of those midnight viewings, but I'm a little scared of those people. I prefer to watch it by myself, as none of my friends like the movie- I have to be in a cult all alone... continuing the song- I'm just a sweet transvestite! From TRANSEXUAL, TRANSYLVANIA!!!!! HAHA! |

It does look scary. Oh well..they played it on Halloween at my university and some friends and I got up and did the Time Warp...that's wild enough for me. (Well...it was really just me dancing with my friends shaking their heads and laughing at me). |

Either Magenta or Freddie from IWTBF |

jericho05 29.07.2004 18:29 |
A great fucking movie. About Freddie and Tim Curry.... one of my girlfriends was convinced that it was Freddie in Rocky Horror. Finally after watching some Queen videos I put on Rocky Horror. When Tim enters the scene my (ex) GF looks at me and says: "See! I told you!" |
SergeantPepperDG 29.07.2004 18:47 |
My friends don't understand my fascination with this movie. |
thePresence 29.07.2004 21:56 |

I've been (and will be) Magenta for Halloween since 6th grade. (Many years!) When I get to LA I'm going to join their cast as a Janet though. |
Zander05 17.08.2004 22:31 |
I became obsessed with that movie with my circle of friends in school. I was the token Eddie of the group :-)And nothing thrills me more than watching the DVD with the audience participation on and going with it. I just wish people would stop freaking out over it just because Frank is a transvestite and is a bisexual prostitute and everyone at some point in the movie does a same-sex thing at some point (except Eddie, Riff Raff, and Dr Scott). Just sit back, watch the movie, do the Time Warp (when the time comes), and just go with it! It's not supposed to make sense and the plot isn't supposed to be great. IT'S A MUSICAL, AND A DAMN GOOD ONE SO LIGHTEN UP YOU SQUARES :-) Apologies for the caps. |
SergeantPepperDG 18.08.2004 10:41 |
No, Eddie was involved at one point, although it wasn't shown in the movie, with Frank N. Furter. Riff Raff had a rather intimate relationship with his sister *cough*incest*cough.* You're right, Dr. Scott was the cleanest person there!!! |
runy 03.01.2005 08:19 |
Albyboy ADORES it! :) Though I myself have never seen it... And can't find it anywhere... *crying* |
dragonzflame 03.01.2005 18:22 |
A few weeks ago a statue of Riff-Raff was unveiled in the city I live in (because Richard O'Brien lived here for a few years and was apparently inspired by watching late night double features at a now-demolished movie theatre where the statue now is). Of course there were the nay-sayers because "we don't want a statue of a transvestite in our fair city" - evidently actually watching the film was out of the question. I myself was a Rocky Horror virgin until the night before but I had to go because it was one of the few exciting things that ever happen here. What a night! The man himself was there heading a small show set up on scaffolding and thousands of people were doing the Time Warp in the middle of the main street. It was all class - most impressive - and I really enjoyed the film for itself. It was a bit silly but taken for what it was extremely amusing. |

That's one of my favorite movies too :D |

Uh..I've never seen it no matter how many times I've rented it out or seen it on T.V. Something always seems to arise. Me: Well I'll just put on The Rocky Horror Picture Show....*vampires attack Earth stealing RHPS* Apparently there's a cinema in Munich, Germany, where the movie has been screened every week since 1975. There are special "RHPS-Kits" available to enable celebrations during the show. They contain: a biscuit (for the toast), rice, a whistle, a candle (for "There's a light") and a sheet of paper with instructions for the time warp. So I have no idea in any case..except that Dr. Hibbert likes it. |
Mr.Jingles 04.01.2005 10:35 |
The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Moulin Rouge are two movies that I still can't get through my head why people like them so much. Both are just absolutely flamboyantly cheesy, and just painful to watch. However, I have to say that a lot of the songs from 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' are great, while all the re-makes featured on 'Moulin Rouge' are shit. Including 'The Show Must Go On'. God, what the hell did they do to such a masterpiece of a song??!! |
