Now then you horrible lot,
I thought I'd bring to your attention the retirement of a couple of old favourites of the Reform Club, namely Jack Russel and Goran Ivanisevic.
Who can forget Jack Russel's 'backs against the wall' knock against South Africa in 1995. And the infamous cry of 'That's lovely Wink' in the same year which will leave forever in the heart of Sir Archie. God Bless you old bean.
As for Goran well ever since his defeat against Sampras in 1998 I've wished the old bugger well. His Wimbledon crown in 2001 is probably the best tennis match I've ever seen and I'm glad he got his chance to say goodbye this year. To beat Moya, Roddick, Rudeski, Safin, Henman and Rafter in a thriller as a wild card will take some beating. I'm not one to show emotion but I wiped away a tear as Goran left Centre Court today. All the best old bean you're always welcome at the Reform Club for a spot of billiards!
I'll be stuffed. Ol' Jacky Boy is retiring. Top innings that, top innings indeed. Too bad I never purchased any of his artwork. Would be worth a mint now.

If anyone has a few grand to spare, one of his cricket scenes would be a wonderful Christmas gift here at the Towers.
