What did Bohemian Rhapsody mean?
| queenrocks! 10902 22.06.2004 15:51 |
Hi I was just wondering what you thought Bo Rhap meant? I think it's about the last words of a dying man or maybe about homeless people or just a song in itself? It's a pity Freddie never told us what it meant. What do you think it means? L.M.K.W.Y.T |

Hahahahahahaha...*sniff*.Oh,now that's fresh. |
| Gunpowder Gelatine 22.06.2004 16:06 |
Yes, it's about hobos. |
| Vb 22.06.2004 16:16 |
A bohemian is a ´person who spent his money real fast, to his drinking |

Like the vast majority of Queen songs, Bohemian Rhapsody is about getting caught by your mum whilst engaging in self-pleasure. |

" Like the vast majority of Queen songs" Lols, what other ones are there that are about the self pleasure thingy? |
| Maz 22.06.2004 16:25 |
I like the hobo angle. We should promote that. |
| hamsters 22.06.2004 16:35 |
... i think we should promote the self pleasure angle ¬_¬ |

queenroocks: every time you post a message on the board remind of us of your age - then everyone here will be more understanding! |

Oh for the love of God... |
| Gunpowder Gelatine 22.06.2004 16:51 |
Actually, it's about Freddie foreshadowing his death. Because he's psychic and all. |

Play it backwards at 66,6% speed and find out about the TRUE meaning of the song. You'll be surprised. |
| MexQueenFM 22.06.2004 17:25 |
"Yes, it's about hobos." hmm, hmm, you might be on to something! |

I love John wrote: " Like the vast majority of Queen songs" Lols, what other ones are there that are about the self pleasure thingy?Don't Stop Me Now, perhaps. Also, note the line in Don't Try Suicide: "You can't be a p____ teaser all of the time..." |

| Holly2003 22.06.2004 19:38 |
It's about the fake hobos who shot JFK from the railyards near Dealey Plaza. Obviously. "Mama" is J. Edgar Hoover in drag. Probably. |
| jasen101 22.06.2004 20:44 |
I thought BR was about penis envy? Was i ever off. |
| iGSM 22.06.2004 21:14 |
Yes. You were. |
| RainMustFall 22.06.2004 21:59 |
You can even say... you "misfired" on that one... tee hee hee... |
| Lord Blackadder 26.07.2004 07:52 |
It is obvious what it is REALLY about. I can't understand why everybody says what does it mean. A guy shoots someone, gets caught, gets put in jail, gets given the death penalty. Just listen to the words, thunderbolt and lightning, so you think you can stone me and spit in my eye, nothing really matters...etc, etc ,etc |

" Like the vast majority of Queen songs" Lols, what other ones are there that are about the self pleasure thingy? Actually... that is EXACTLY what "Fick Of The Wrist" is about! Go back and listen carefully young man! |

Go back and listen carefully young man!*gasp* it's all so clear now!!!! LOL...quite interesting. Hmm...I never really thought about the meaning. One thing I did hear was that one line in the opera section (galileo figuro magnifico) means "Magnify the Galilean's Image" in Latin (it means Galileo is a great barber in Italian, so don't mix the two up...hehe). If that's the case, the Galilean would be Jesus Christ. Dunno how accurate that is...it's just something I read which I thought sounded reasonable. Going along with the "self pleasure thingy" motif...I wonder what "stroke" the fairy feller delivered or what "nut" he cracked with the fairy folk gathered around watching him. Voyerism?? oh my! |

<One thing I did hear was that one line in the opera section (galileo figuro magnifico) means "Magnify the Galilean's Image" in Latin > Not at all. In Latin - "magnifico" means "I elevate/highly respect/praise" - "galileo" isn't a genitive form. It would have to be "Galileonis" or something along the lines. Apart from that, it doesn't mean "Galilean" anyway. "Galiliean" is "Galilaeus" in Latin. - It's "figaro", not "figuro" and "figaro" doesn't mean anything in Latin (like you said, it's an Italian barber). It also can impossibly be an accusative form. It would have to be "figuram", which it isn't. |

" Like the vast majority of Queen songs" Lols, what other ones are there that are about the self pleasure thingy?" One other song is of course Stone Cold Crazy. "Rainy afternoon I gotta blow a typhoon and I'm playing on my slide trombone" (btw during the Freddie Mercury tribute the singer of Metallica made the movement with his hand while singing that line) (it was Metallica, was it?) |

You think you're so strong, but there ain't no stopping and there's nothing you can do about it" "He used to be a man with a stick in his hand" Haha...I said this in the "Did Freddie Stuff His Pants" thread - is this conversation ACTUALLY happenning?? LOL,darlings,...but I think this might all be simply WISHFUL THINKING,don't you think?? |
| bolan 28.07.2004 07:23 |
I read somewhere that Bo Rhap was about absolutely nothing - it was just words. Apparently it was cocaine induced |

Yeah.......and...... like...don't quote me on this or anything...but...I THINK that Fat-Bottomed Girls is about young females with large asses...I could be wrong on that though...and the song "Seven Seeds of Rye" is about seeded rye bread. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D |

"What did Bohemian Rhapsody mean?" I think it was something to do with Samuel L. Jackson and a horrible train accident. Freddie was a psychic and was singing from the train's point of view. |
