This card game seems to be popular everywhere except the US. Personally, I love it.
Does anyone here play? And if so, are you a member of BBO? I'm on there right now, and my partner is some German guy who doesn't understand the Stayman convention. I need a new partner.
Hmm I've never learned to play bridge but I loooove to play poker and euchre. I usually get on pogo.com geeks. I haven't been on there in forever.
If you have the patience to teach me bridge, then i'll be your partner!!
:)
I love ALL card games - and since I suck (I only have about 50 master points) if there were some way to do so online I could probably teach you.
In the meantime, I'll check out that pogo site. I need someone to play cards with - other than my dad, who will kick my ass in anything.
I have not played in years, but still read the bridge column daily in the newspaper. I believe I was a member of that bridge organization over 15 years ago. I think I had about 50 master points too at the time.
A few years ago I used to play bridge on-line on a Microsoft website ...
I would not mind occasionally playing on line ...
check out pogo.com i think bridge is on there. and there is a chatroom type option thingy on there.
tell me what time and what room and i'll meet you there.
we are in the same time zone since we live erm 15 minutes from each other. :)
Ah, sorry to say I'm in my summer home right now - but I think we're still in the same time zone. In the meantime, this pogo thing is being a bastard >:( What is this word confirmation thing?
word confirmation? not sure. I haven't been on pogo.com in a long time. I'll hop on there and see what happens. btw the nick i use on there is inthabarn.
It's asking me to type in some letter/number combo in order to register - but I can't see it!
If I do ever manage to get there, my name is nimbleweevil.
That's odd it is asking you for that. Let me hop on there and see if I'm still a member. I registered back in 2000. When I registered way back when, I just had to pick a screen name and a password.
Ok geeks, I got on pogo.com and it worked fine for me BUT I was already registered. I tried to add that screen name to my friends list and it said you weren't a registered pogo player. So I guess you haven't made it there yet ;)
The only thing I see that has changed since I've been playing it is that they've added some games and some rooms of some games that are reserved for players that pay. So unless you are trying to do something like that, you should be ok with registering.
Hurry up will ya!! I want to learn how to play bridge! ;)
