Okay, I apologize in advance for my lack of memory but I don't know if this has been already discussed.
Does anybody know why Hang On In There wasn't on the album? I find it's a great song that could have fit perfectly on it.
It was mainly written by Freddie. Parts of it were originally included in the demo-sessions for "Stealin'". It was only later on that it became a separate track, whereas the "outro" of HOIT originally seems to have been a separate demo as well.
I guess they left it off the vinyl-version of the album to have a bonus-track that made both use of the larger space of a compact disc and could also serve as an incentive to buy the CD.
The Love Boat wrote: Probably for the same reason the 'Innuendo' tracks were edited for vinyl. Shorter album = better quality vinyl. (So they say) :)
You know, this is strange: I wanted the vinyl version of Vapor Trails by Rush and found there was a "limited edition" coming out so I preordered it when the CD was released last year. Guess what -- it's two discs in one sleeve (but each has a glossy, pictures-and-lyrics sleeve), no gatefold like I (or others) had expected. The sound was a little less distorted than the CD but not the quality pressing I was looking for. Very disappointing!!
