Did you know that Kurt Cobain compared himself to Freddie in his suicide note? I did'nt. 'Kurt Cobain compared himself to Mercury in his suicide note, saying the Queen frontman seemed to "relish in the love and adoration from the crowd which is something I totally admire and envy". ' everybody loves/loved Queen |
Pim Derks 14.06.2004 16:04 |
Yeah I knew that. Kurt's favourite album when he was younger was News of the World. |
Josuè 14.06.2004 16:48 |
Yeah, I also knew that. Very glad to knew it I was. |
deleted user 14.06.2004 17:09 |
Too bad he was a talentless punk. |
Whatinthewhatthe? 14.06.2004 19:59 |
When Kurt passed away, I sent off for a T-shirt with a copy of the note on both sides (thinking it might become a collectors' item later). Instead, I was sent two certified copies of the note plus a death certificate for the $30 I sent for the shirt (the letter accompanying the merchandise stated due to legal problems with Courtney Love, they couldn't reproduce the note on clothing anymore). They're numbered and probably worth more than the shirt would be! I was a little amused that Kurt would make reference to "Freddie (sic) Mercury" in what didn't really appear to be a suicide note. It was more like an "I'm tired of performing" note to fans than an actual goodbye. Some skeptics may be right, he may have been murdered. |
TheMiracle 14.06.2004 20:23 |
He was on so much crack, it'd be nearly impossible for him to shoot himself. I'll blame courtney, she's so selfish and rude. |
Whatinthewhatthe? 14.06.2004 21:55 |
I'm glad someone agrees...Courtney Love will be self-destructing in the next five minutes... ***BANG!!*** And now for something completely different... (Monty Python theme begins playing) |
iGSM 15.06.2004 06:24 |
Mrs Cobain, will you please stand up? *does so* *explosion* This is the first step in how not to be seen. |
Fenderek 15.06.2004 07:56 |
Stop that, stop that! This thread is becoming very silly! I'm warning this thread!!! |
Whatinthewhatthe? 15.06.2004 07:58 |
Heeheehee!! Courtney becomes a song title: "Doll Parts"... *snicker* |
Josuè 15.06.2004 08:39 |
I believe he was murdered. |
Daburcor? 15.06.2004 08:40 |
Murdered or not, I'm pretty sure he's dead. |
Spiderleg Synthia 15.06.2004 10:57 |
I think he killed himself. |
Lord Blackadder 15.06.2004 11:00 |
The guy was so drugged up and had that many problems he just blew his on brains out. end of. if you start looking into these things to much you start thinking of theories for everything. 'i dont think freddie mercury is dead, he just doesnt want to be famous anymore' and so on... |
geeksandgeeks 15.06.2004 11:38 |
Sometimes I wonder, where is the compassion from people? Acting like complete assholes about an ill woman who really behaves no differently than many other rock stars (Axl Rose, Jack White, Bjork, and did I mention Axl Rose?) Where are the calls for them to be lobotomized? HE WASN'T MURDERED. Good God. Can't anyone just die in peace anymore without thousands of conspiracy theories surrounding their death? Now thatthat's temporarily out of my system, yes I knew about the note. Queen was one of Kurt's favorite bands, even though his snobbier fans like to deny it >:( |
Catgoddess 15.06.2004 14:34 |
I think he also used the 'It's better to burn out than to fade away' quote in it as well, if I remeber correctly. |
Whatinthewhatthe? 15.06.2004 18:23 |
Courtney has always been one card short of a full deck. I feel sorry for Frances Bean. She may be minus a dad and mum (Kurt's mum may get full custody, I hope). Courtney just turned 40, maybe that's the reason for her actions...she didn't think she's live that long! |

No doubt it would be just as dull and predictable as yours. Here's hoping eh? fatty. |

His favourite album was NOTW??? Was he mad? Well, I don't like grunge, and I don't like Nirvana as a rule, and I certainly don't think he was a genius. The genius in Nirvana, we all know, was Dave "The Man" Grohl! |
Stoney 16.06.2004 07:00 |
think he also used the 'It's better to burn out than to fade away' quote in it as well, if I remeber correctly. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- that isnt a queen quote...its...i suddenly forgot....its...Iggy pop or neil young...or someone else...it sure isnt queen |

Look at this woman... link And tell me how could you possibly expect her to save her husband's life from falling into heavy drug abuse, depression, and suicidal tendencies. One thing for sure is that she doesn't deserve one single penny from the royalties that Kurt Cobain made with Nirvana. Dave Grohl was right when he said that she should have her head checked. |
deleted user 16.06.2004 14:50 |
To claim that NOTW was Kurt's (by the way, I strongly disagree with some of the deprecating comments made about him in this thread) favourite album would be an exaggeration. It merely was an album that he listened to quite a lot as a teenager, since he had a tape of it in his dad's van and used to play it over and over again when waiting in there for his dad to return from work (or something along the lines...). |

He did have the NOTW poster, though. |

It's scientifically prooven that drugs kill brain cells and that shows on Courtney's appearance and behavior. By now she probably has less brain cells than Jessica Simpson or George W. Bush. |
Whatinthewhatthe? 17.06.2004 21:25 |
Courtney and Dave are SPEAKING?!? Not from what I've read in the aptly titled book "Love And Death". Great book, authors' names escape me, it just came out this year. The lawyers are still fighting it out (with Krist Novoselic's also) for control of the rights of the music and future releases. And don't forget those nagging royalties and how much goes to whom.... |
