What happened to Brian during this solo...? That's bloody terrible!!!:) And the worst thing is that actually IMO it could be the best version of this song!!! Freddie is unbelievable, especially at the end, with all those ad libs- PURE GENIUS... What happened...? Camera is on the audience, so... Was he drunk...? Did the lightning struck him...?;) How many of you guys think that this was the worst mistake EVER...:)
OR
Maybe let's vote for the worst mistake ever...?
It's my favorite live version of Somebody To Love(just by Fred), but Brian what are you doin' with that guitar, Did you lose your sixpence?
"Maybe a string broke?"
No, that was in KQ solo in Caracas
Oh boy! :)

They played over 700 concerts, Don't you think there might have been more broken strings then just the one in Caracas?

There's also that time in Osaka 76 (evening show) where Brian's struggling with his tuning throughout half of his Brighton Rock solo. Poor Bri...
Wait a minute, isn't it possible to post a sticky with the file? I don't know if that was scrapped from the site. If that is so, you can email me the file and I'll post it.
Peace,
Adam.
"If we are talking about messing up, then what about Freddie appearing to forget the words to Bo Rhap during one of the Japanese gigs in '76?"
Yep, that was at the same Osaka show as I mentioned above... I couldn't believe my ears the first time I heard Freddie do that!
What exactly did Freddie do/say?
"Mama, just killed a ham, put a gun against his Fred..blah, blah something...thingo! Yes, he does stuff.." *falls alseep on the piano*
From what I can remember, he sort of mumbled through part of the second verse (the one that begins Too late... etc) before finally remembering the words. He even "adapted" the melody as well!! Quite funny actually
Must try and find that bootleg...
Dave
He started to sing "I don't wanna die", but he quickly realized he was still in the first verse... so he pretty much mumbled through the rest of the verse.
Is that all? Big deal. It's bound to happen if you sing any song, regardless if it's yours or not. You'll mess up the words or the chords etc. I guess it happens to people a lot more when they're on the road like that. Scary, but true.
Peace,
Adam.
