That one that Freddie did... Not the one, But the other. ;) *It's a toss-up between "Mr. Bad Guy" and "Barcelona"* |

Brian's Another World is a real gem imo.I found it very fresh and inspiring and I believe that it should have more impact in general. Barcelona is another GREAT solo album. |

Mr. Bad Guy |
| Shane Jazz 30.05.2004 01:17 |
Barcelona is great- majestic and glorious at times. But my favorite is Fun in Space. |
| D.Blythe 30.05.2004 01:28 |
Electric Fire-no question about it. |
| Nightjar_ 30.05.2004 03:38 |
Fun in Space by miles. |
| deleted user 30.05.2004 07:19 |
Barcelona or Mr Bad Guy, I can't decide! And of course Strange Frontier is good too. |

Mr Bad Guy -- always gets me in a good mood! |
| rmtfictionqueen 31.05.2004 13:21 |
I don't have one because I can't seem to find any of them. |
| Gunpowder Gelatine 31.05.2004 13:57 |
They're cheap on amazon.com. I got Back To The Light and Another World together for about $6. |
| Shane Jazz 31.05.2004 14:09 |
Shove It is being delivered to me tomorrow, but from what I've heard about it, it won't be challenging for my favorite solo album...Oh well, it will be nice to hear a Roger solo track with Brian on guitar though.... |
| rmtfictionqueen 31.05.2004 20:45 |
I've seen the covers to the albums. Does anyone else think that the cover to the Shove It album looks like Mickey Mouse is flipping you off? |
| jorge 01.06.2004 02:54 |
I just have the Freddie Mercury albums: 1.Barcelona 2.The Great Pretender 3.Mr. Bad Guy 4.The FM album 5.Remixes ..in that order |
| Del Pietro 01.06.2004 08:10 |
That must definitely be Another World!!! I think musically Bri's albums are just way better than Roger's. However, the more I listen to Rogers albums, the more I start to like them...... |
| Kai Kurgan 01.06.2004 08:24 |
Barcelona and Another World - out of question. I also like "Mad, Bad & Dangerous to know" by The Cross very much - although it´s not really a Solo-album |
| Mayboy 01.06.2004 08:24 |
Barcelona, just magical :D |
| LelietjevanDalen 01.06.2004 09:14 |
Electric Fire, Happiness |
| Whatinthewhatthe? 01.06.2004 11:32 |
Barcelona seems to be the favourite...but I'll add mine (it is a legit release): THE SOLO COLLECTION -- FREDDIE MERCURY I love everything about this! All the outtakes, interviews, the DVDs, the book -- who could ask for anything more? :-)) |
| 7Innuendo7 01.06.2004 17:21 |
Electric Fire "Nation of Haircuts" |

Roger Taylor's Fun In Space. The first one, the best one |
| Shane Jazz 02.06.2004 02:31 |
Okay, I have finally received Shove It, and have listened to it through a full three times. It comes nowhere near eclipsing any of Roger's other works, especially the divine Fun in Space. What an odd album- it has about three tracks with what sounds like Roger rapping. I think I'll go put Let's Get Crazy on and Roger redeems himself once more! |
| Whatinthewhatthe? 02.06.2004 15:37 |
Happiness is a lot better, not as invasive on the ears like EF. Fun In Space is, well, fun... |
| queenrocks! 10902 03.06.2004 13:36 |
My favourite solo album is The Freddie Mercury Album. It has a good tracklisting with all of Freddie's great solo singles. My favourites are Foolin Around & Your Kind Of Lover. |
| Fenderek 03.06.2004 13:44 |
BACK TO THE LIGHT or... STAR FLEET PROJECT... Well, I love it!!!! |

1. Mr Bad guy 2. back to the light 3.another world and the starfleet project I also like ;) |
| August R. 08.06.2004 18:24 |
1.Back To The Light (I'm glad Bri got out of the Dark and made his way back to the Light:) 2.Electric Fire (Some of Roger's best songs on this one + his version of Working Class Hero sends shivers down my spine) 3.Happiness? ('Happiness is what you need') |
| Oberon 09.06.2004 04:36 |
1) Electric Fire. 2) Back To The Light 3) Happiness 4) Another World I agree that Working Class Hero is a great version. I think EF is some of Roger's finest work, maybe even including the Queen stuff (although, then you think of These are the Days Of Our Lives which was one of his wasn't it?!?)! He seems to write very differently on his own - maybe that shows the influence of the group over the individual. I'm always torn between Rog and Bri's solo stuff. I love Brian's stuff 'cause of the guitars, but I prefer a lot of Roger's songs for his more subtle writing, and (sometimes) better lyrics. I've spoken about this before, and others have countered, and I am again unsure, 'cause some of Brian's songs, especially on BTTL (Nothin' But Blue, Just One Life) are great songs - ironically less guitar based! But then, things like China Belle and Cyborg have all the guitar I love, but I'm less enamoured by the lyrics, while Roger's stuff seems more rounded to me. I just find his solo stuff a little better all round, and Electric Fire is the epitome of this I think. |
| kweenqueen 09.06.2004 04:42 |
I think "Fun In Space" is the best, by far. It's VERY underrated. |
| My hair's a disgrace 09.06.2004 09:47 |
1. Happiness? - Old Friends is a beautiful tribute 2. Another World - Reminds me of why I love Queen Not overly keen on The Cross stuff, and don't know Electric Fire too well. By the way, has anyone followed the link from the new Queenonline site to Roger's personal site? Is it meant to be a Work in Progress site by any chance? |
| Michael Scapp 10.06.2004 08:54 |
For me, there is only one good solo album by Queen. FUN IN SPACE is one of my favorite Queen albums altogether. I hate the rest of the solo albums |
| geeksandgeeks 10.06.2004 12:55 |
Queen related: Happiness? - Roger Taylor Another World - Brian May Non-Queen related: Paul Simon - Graceland All of Tom Morello's Nightwatchman stuff. |
