After weeks of editing, my 'Maximum Queen' CD is done! The idea was to see how many Queen tracks I could fit on an 80 minute CD by editing rather than just choosing short songs or doing an MP3 disc.
And the total is.. 26! woohoo! link
79:34.. even some seconds to spare for pauses.
Those are some bitchin' running times eh? Maybe next time I can get the songs even shorter and go for 30 tracks!
Yes I know, total blasphemy! How could I?
Innuendo sounds something like this:

I think it still works. Steve Howe wouldn't be pleased though.
Actually, an edit of Stairway to Heaven isn't a bad idea! I'll give it a whirl :-P
And thanks BTBK! I too kind of miss the wandering minstrel guitar. Perhaps from now on, each month at a special time I'll listen to the minstrel version.
This obsession with editing Queen songs is the result of my subconcious desire to rid myself of Queen, transformed to conscious reality.
The desire to rid myself of Queen, ie; deleting portions of songs until someday they don't exist at all, is perhaps the result of the financial discourse I find myself in as the result of being a Queen fan.
It's all psychological. But thankfully I'm very good at editing.
Well, Bohemian Rhapsody is quite in contrast... I chopped it up rather mercilessly, but it was on purpose. Frankly I'm sick of hearing that song and wanted to see how short I could get it :-P

There's no vocal intro, no opera section, and even the heavy section is gone :) It's worthless crap, but it's my very own worthless crap.. that's what's important :-P
