...After all of the times I have said that I didn't like "She Makes Me", I now find myself enjoying it... Has this ever happened to anyone else? Not necessarily with THIS particular song, but any others in the Queen catalogue? |
Gunpowder Gelatine 15.05.2004 14:25 |
I hated White Man for awhile. Now, I love it, even though it seems a lot of people don't, but I think it's a great song. And I never really cared about Teo Torriatte either, I could take it or leave it, but now, it's one of my favorites. |
Daragon 15.05.2004 14:52 |
Yeah, in the beginning there were lots of songs I didn't really like, but after listening to the whole song for a few times I learned to like it a lot. Except for the songs sung by Brian or Roger, they stay my least favorite ones... |
MexQueenFM 15.05.2004 18:05 |
when i first heard Queen II, i didn't like it, it grew on me |
inu-liger 15.05.2004 18:13 |
I used to hate the Invisible Man 12" mix intro, now I like it |
Sir Archie 'Tiffany' Leach 15.05.2004 19:39 |
White Man, Drowse and even Sweet Lady are enjoyable. But I'll never like Loser in t'End. |
rhapsody__87 15.05.2004 21:01 |
In the beginning I was wary of Queen II and now I love it. I won't listen to it too much so I don't get sick of it, but it's an absolute masterpiece. I also didn't like "Drowse" for a long time but now I really like it. I guess it all depends on what you're in the mood for! Right now, I'm just getting a bit tired of "Bohemian Rhapsody"-- eh, it happens. |

Rain Must Fall. |
Kuku 16.05.2004 02:13 |
Happens all the time. My newest fav: Khashoggi's ship |
Banquo 16.05.2004 06:47 |
I didn't like Don't Try So Hard since Innuendo first came out I thought it twee bollocks. Now I think while not brilliant its a fine song. |
Mayboy 16.05.2004 08:13 |
I couldnt stand Hot Space at first, now i get it out quite often :) |
Sonja 16.05.2004 08:44 |
Yep, quite often. Like Mayboy I couldn't stand Hot Space either. But it grew on me and now it's even one of my favourites. |
Lord Blackadder 16.05.2004 12:55 |
Yea, Same as me with You Don't Fool Me. |
Into La Ment 16.05.2004 13:00 |
I have to confess to being rather unimpressed with Queen II upon first listen, but now it's my absolute favourite. I don't think I'll ever like "She Makes Me", though, I'm afraid! |
MenthylatedGin 17.05.2004 15:18 |
I used to not like the Hot Space album...but now it's my fav. Odd, huh? ^_^ |
geeksandgeeks 17.05.2004 16:37 |
I hated Bohemian Rhapsody for the longest time. :) Now that I have your attention, this has never happened to me, except that I didn't used to like ADATR that much. |
Gunpowder Gelatine 17.05.2004 20:04 |
I hated ADATR for awhile, too. Now it just might be my second favorite album... |
Gunpowder Gelatine 17.05.2004 20:04 |
I didn't like Queen II the first time I heard it. I was looking through the lyrics booklet in the Crown Jewels collection, and I liked the lyrics to Funny How Love Is, so I played the entire CD, and found it pretty forgettable. Now, it's one of my favorite Queen albums, although I can take or leave Funny How Love Is. |
Penis - Vagina 17.05.2004 20:10 |
I'd like to say that this has happened to me, but I can't think of an example. I still don't care for Jesus, White Man, Mustapha, Party, Khashoggi's Ship, a few more. I think perhaps Ogre Battle is one I didn't used to like and now I do. |
D.Blythe 17.05.2004 21:33 |
I never liked "Don't Try Suicide" and I do not know if I ever will. It sounded like filler when I first heard it and now that I know that so many other songs were passed over that were recorded at the time I like it even less. How does that make the final cut? I never used to like the album version of "Staying Power" but after seeing the video of it at Milton Keynes, and having no other way to listen to that version, I have grown to like the studio version. It will have to do until I get the bootleg cd of Milton Keynes. |
rhapsody__87 17.05.2004 21:47 |
I LOVE "Don't Try Suicide"... it definitely doesn't sound like filler to me. |
Daburcor? 17.05.2004 21:50 |
I quite like it myself... Not my favorite track on the album, but not the worst either in my opinion. |
iGSM 17.05.2004 22:00 |
<> Same here. It's done very well live. I think so at least. |
dragonzflame 17.05.2004 23:59 |
I used to not like Sheer Heart Attack. And while there are still one or two tracks that haven't yet grown on me enough that I don't skip them, the rest of it is quite probably at least in my top 5. But I know I'll never like You Don't Fool Me and All God's People - if I wanted to be preached to I'd go to church. |
Penis - Vagina 18.05.2004 01:07 |
I like All God's People in spite of the religious aspects. I just think it's an exciting track. |
Whisperer 18.05.2004 02:31 |
You Don't Fool me is great! All God's people is good too, but Freddie screams a little too much in it. I don't know if scream is the right word, but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. He does the same thing in One Year Of Love and many other songs. |
Brian_Mays_Wig 18.05.2004 15:22 |
I have to confess that, athough it is probably the best song ever - ill always dislike Bo Rhap, cos im fed up of hearing it! Ive never really liked 'Who Needs You' either. |
geeksandgeeks 18.05.2004 15:48 |

How does that make the final cut?.Couldn't agree more. Look at the lyrics, then listen to the music, something is seriously not right here. What does "get on my tits" mean? I think it should have been cut for "A Human Body". Speaking of The Game...I thought Sail Away Sweet Sister was cheeseball for a while, and then I got to appreciating the poetic quality. |
Zander05 18.05.2004 20:02 |
I never really grew to like Don't Try Suicide or the album version of Staying Power. In general, I'm very open-minded about songs. I hate to say it, but I used to HATE Under Pressure. But then you listen to it over and over and over and it grows on you. There also came a time where I got tired of Bohemian Rhapsody because EVERYBODY had to play it all time for me (they meant well but...). As far as music videos, I don't think I'll ever learn to like Under Pressure or TYMD. Great, fantastic songs - but the videos could have been better - don't get me started on those G*d-awful Made In Heaven vids!!! |
D.Blythe 18.05.2004 22:55 |
I have said this before and I will say it again now; love 'em or hate 'em, you have to admit the "Made In Heaven" videos are a damn sight better than a DoRo "cut-n-paste" video made from clips we have all seen a million times. |
Stanley 19.05.2004 19:43 |
What's ADATR? Sorry, I'm bnad at these! I always think of Boh Rap not being so great and then I listen to it and get really into it! |
BornToBeKings 19.05.2004 19:49 |
ADATR = A Day at the Races Never really used to like Breakthru; now it's my favorite song on The Miracle. |
Fenderek 20.05.2004 08:15 |
I used to really hate Fighr From The Inside- now it's one of my favs on NOTW (I listen to it definitely more often than WATC / WWRY...- well, actually I don't listen to those AT ALL...!) |
iGSM 21.05.2004 02:00 |
Sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepin' on the sidewalk! Love that bluesy feel to it and the part where Brian says to Roger 'Play faster, shit for brains' |
Shane Jazz 21.05.2004 02:13 |
I will know that "the world must be ending" when I start enjoying the live Prophets' Song or Get Down Make Love vocal interludes (which i can never seem to enjoy), or Hijack My Heart. Now THAT is a song Bri & Rog can feel free to try to improve on. Add some more muscle to it or something. |
Mr_Fahrenheit 24.05.2004 22:04 |
I didn't like Body Language at first, but I really like the part when it picks up in the middle and he's kind of screaming, maybe not screaming, but it's the part when he says "you got the cutest ass I've ever seen..." I like that part, but maybe it's just me ha. I absolutely hated Kashoggi's Ship, but It's grown on me. I hated Dragon Attack, and now it's one of my favorites. That's all I've got. Oh yeah, and Get Down, Make Love. |
iron eagle 24.05.2004 22:45 |
Who Needs You will forever be the one song I have never liked-nor will I ever.... utter crap i say! Hmph!! maracas maracas....my arse! |
Penis - Vagina 07.06.2004 12:29 |
Okay, I've never particularly cared for 'Fight From The Inside' though I tolerated it. Now today I suddenly started liking it after getting the card sleeve with the 2001 remaster. Perhaps it sounds better than ever before or something. |
The Black Queen 07.06.2004 14:02 |
I use to hate Sail Away Sweet Sister... the lyrics were just too odd, but now I like it. |
