I need your help. The company I work for, Steve Gerstman Services, is the official licensor for Queen. We handle all of their licensing and product development (look for cool new products coming soon).
I am working on a project and need jpegs of vintage Queen concert t-shirts.
If you have any, would you be so kind as to email them to me (front and back) at ivy@sgerstman.com. The higher the resolution, the better.
Thanks.
Ivy
Hmm, sounds interesting. What kind of new cool products we should wait for? Mugs, "truck-driver" hats, pens, badges or finally some licensed official vintage Queen tour shirts?
Replicas of concert T-shirt is the same stupid idea as replicas of tour passes that the fan club was selling some years ago. Most fans then don't recognize a genuine item from a replica and pay big $$$ for some cheap reprint.
Some people like to buy a t-shirt and wear it. Instead of paying lots of money for it, throw it somewhere in a box with the rest of the collection and never look at it again
OK, to be honest - I've seen plenty of Queen concert T-shirts and I don't remember any nice one at all.
IMO the best merchandising article would be some common Queen T-shirts with variations of the logo. Black T-shirt with golden logo is the most beautiful Queen T-shirt I've seen so far.
We have several t-shirts coming out in retail soon.
1) Bohemian Rhapsody
2) Colour Crest
3) Girls shirt with lavendar glitter crest logo
4) Hot Space ringer
5) A Night At The Opera ringer
We are also looking to do a line of vintage tour shirt reproductions. These are not going to be marketed to fool anyone into thinking they are buying actual tour shirts.
As far as other licensed products go, I'm not at liberty to say just yet. They will be cool.
Good luck in your endeavors. I would think that your best bet is to contact Jacky at the fan club.

You know what you should do? Have a premium give-away with a Queen CD unavailable elsewhere. Have them produce some "Queen : The B-Sides" CDs for you to give away with the purchase of any two t-shirts.
