Love the video! But am I the only one who is bothered when Freddie climbs onto the couch next to Roger and Roger shakes Freddie? It kind of creeps me out when Freddie's head moves so quickly from side to side.
Alllright that's it for today. :-)
Hey Erica I agree with you too! Innuendo has a whole bunch of videos (Innuendo, These Are the Days of Our Lives, I'm Going Slightly Mad) that are just incomparable to any other, even to early Queen videos, perhaps save "Save Me".
That scene where Roger shakes Freddie, that was in the edited collage-like "Show Must Go On" video.. only that the maker inserted a choking sound when Roger does that... freaky!
I'm Going Slightly Mad was out of all of the Innuendo videos one of the best. And Freddie's hair very freaky! I don't think RT intended to hurt FM it was just harmless fun.
IGSM is my favorite out of all the videos. Of course Roger wasn't trying to hurt Freddie, but Freddie's head moved a bit too rapidly for my liking haha :P
From looking at the behind the scenes footage, it was all Fred's idea and direction, so I think he was probably exaggerating the movement for comical effect!!! What an actor!
That whole scene was choreographed by Freddie. Behind the scenes footage of Freddie instructing Roger on how to "really shake hime good" is on the Champions of the World video. Honestly, Roger doesn't look all that enthused about performing the act. Then five minutes later the penguin leaves his mark, shall we say and it's laughter all around.
I wonder if they'll put the behind the scenes segment on GVH3... it would be a welcome addition, but I'd also like to see behind the scenes on These Are The Days of Our Lives, if there is one.

There is a video for TSMGO, Kuku, the one you dislike so much... The idea was to make a "foil depicting the best of Queen on video throughout the 80s" (GH2 sleeve). I think it's quite fine for the subject of the song.
There were certainly cameras rolling during the making of Days of Our lives. Check the Queen Rocks video "Tear it up". There are some very short pictures of Freddie getting make-up for the Days of our Lives video. Frankly I was a bit shocked that they used it for Tear it up because Freddie looks particulary ill at that shot. He looks like he is suppressing agonizing pain. And Tear it up is a nice song about having a good time. But then, I might be just a bit to sensitive...
