My sister just came home from school and told me that one of her best friends, a girl named April, died this morning. About two years ago, she (April) went to the doctor because of a painful growth on her leg. The doctor, whom was in a hurry, said "It's nothing, It's just a cyst." Later on, The leg started giving her more and more problems and even more pain. Her mother took her to a different doctor who told them that it was a form of cancer, and that it may or may not be terminal. Toward the middle of the second school semester last year, She had to have her leg amputated, started chemo therapy, and was pulled from school. Her condition was increasingly worse as the months went on, until this morning, when she lost the will to fight it. She was only 15. This could have been prevented if that doctor could have taken a few more moments of his precious time to actually do his job and help her.
I'm so sorry. It's so frightening when you think that so many doctors have so many opinions on things. It's like... who can you trust? I'm so sorry again... :-(
sucks indeed... if you hear stories like that you could get really worried if you are told the truth when looking for medical help...

'My sister is so upset... I wish there were something I could do for her... :( '
There is my friend, just continue to be there for her. You can't fix anything, but knowing you are there is a huge help for her I'm sure.
Well, My sister went to the wake last night... It was the first time she had ever been to one. She seemed less upset when she came homw, Which was nice.
