ROGER TAYLOR - LIQUID FIRE Artist: Roger Taylor Date: 24th March 1999 Source: AUD LineageCDR--->CDParanoia--->FLAC (I am a Linux User so EAC is not an option for me. CdParanoia is the Linux equivalent and just as good) Size 394MB Liquid Rooms, Edinburgh, UK. 24th March 1999 Total time 73,56 We will rock you Pressure on A nation of haircuts Believe in yourself I want to break free No more fun Tonight A kind of magic Surrender These are the days of our lives Under pressure I'm in love with my car Tenement funster Strange frontier Happiness Probably the best sounding Roger Taylor concert of 1999. Not a complete show as C'mon Down London Town is cut. There is a fade out at the end of under pressure and fades back in for I'm in Love with my car. This was done to make it 1 CD I remember emailing the actual taper who said he had done that and then accidentally blanked the minidisc, so this is as much as is out there. I have decided to do this show as opposed to some of the other ones for a few reasons. 1. As I said I think it is the best quality Roger 1999 concert out there. There are some other stonking ones, namely the Glasgow, Sheffield and Wolverhampton shows, but this has some extra definition to the actual sound, and I think it is crisper 2. It's a 1 Cd show. It is a taster for roger solo, some people may want more, they may not, so therefore it is a testing ground. 3. They have a technical break where Jason Faloon is having a problem with his guitar and you get a little interaction with Roger, more so than is normal in Rogers's 1999 tour. 4. I was in the audience! If you listen just before No More fun, when they are having a few technical difficulties, and roger says, "You wont believe this, this is the first break down on the entire tour" you can hear someone shouting Molly Malone.. that is yours truly, fuelled by 10 pints of Guinness! :-) Also got a wink and wave from Treanna Morris... Hopefully you enjoy it, was a great night and a great concert. So In Short I was there ...done that...and still have the T-Shirt! Hopefully you enjoy it. As you did for my last torrent, please keep your windows open, so others can download them. ************************************************* DO NOT CONVERT TO MP3 OR OTHER LOSSY FORMATS! ************************************************* My Trade list is at link if anyone has any requests, Whiteman |

great. i really, really like the electric fire album Richard |
Maz 27.04.2004 01:03 |
Hey, thanks for the show. I'll jump on it in the next day or so. |
Kuku 27.04.2004 02:44 |
Thank you!!! Lucky you who has seen it and done it real! |
Adam Baboolal 27.04.2004 08:45 |
I can't believe this is encoded in Flac. It came from a minidisc man! That's only mildly better than MP3. Ah well, I'll still download it. My brother always tells me I should've gone with him to the Glasgow show. Guess this is closest I'll get! Peace, Adam. |
Richard Orchard 27.04.2004 09:16 |
just listened to about half of this concert. The sound is great. Amazing for an audience recording considering some of them out there. Great songs as well. Great hearing live versions. |
YourValentine 27.04.2004 10:29 |
It took me 3 weeks to figure out that this is you, Phil:) |
Lord Blackadder 27.04.2004 11:27 |
can u pause it, or do you have to leave it to download? |
Maz 27.04.2004 11:48 |
You can pause it as necessary. The problem you will run into is if people start to leech, then your seeders will decrease and the download might get slower. |
Lord Blackadder 27.04.2004 13:01 |
so how do i pause it? it only says cancel |
frank39 27.04.2004 13:10 |
never collecting Roger. But I´ll make a try |

let_me_live wrote: so how do i pause it? it only says cancelwhat client are you using? Usually you can cancel. When you start again, as long as you save the files in the same place, it will start from where you left off. Richard |
Lord Blackadder 27.04.2004 14:23 |
so if i just click cancel it will pause until i next come on? |
Lord Blackadder 27.04.2004 14:51 |
do you have to download the whole lot before you can listen to any of it???? because if not mine isnt working:( lil help please |

Which if sone right sound great. This one has A1 soud on it. FLAC us lossless. MP3 is lossy. Would you prefer I share as MP£, someone downloads it and trades it on audio CD and pollutes the trade pool? I will not trade anything in MP3. Even if my next seen is a dodgy copy someone made wit a tape recorder up his dufflecoat, in 1975, It will still be FLAC. I'm not forcing you to download it. Whiteman |
whitemanadmin 27.04.2004 15:24 |
Right Folks, 8 seeds currently and I have shared 1.5 GIG (Even if the 2 seeds I made this morning dropped off as soon as the had finished) So its up to you. Please keep your windows open for others, and Hopefuly you will enjoy it. Whiteman |
My hair's a disgrace 27.04.2004 15:47 |
Thanks for this show! I've just started to download, and will keep my connection open for a good while - three or four days at least. |
Adam Baboolal 27.04.2004 18:24 |
I think you took me a little too seriously White! I was only thinking about the download time for something that is similar to MP3. Minidisc also records to a lossy format. Sorry to bring it up. :( |

Adam Baboolal wrote: I think you took me a little too seriously White! I was only thinking about the download time for something that is similar to MP3. Minidisc also records to a lossy format. Sorry to bring it up. :(Minidisc does to record to a lossy format. But the loss if done right is negligable. And when you have the master why make it worse by mp3ing it? The loss in sound quality in comparison to MP3 is unjustified, it is like comparing watching a cinema movie on DVD and then on a dodgy VHS on a black and white TV. I just cannot see the comparison. Mp3 are ok for a quick listen to somthing, but in my opinion is an abomination for trading circles who like to preserve the quality of the original recording. If people mp3'd concerts which are already ropey quality converted them back to wav, then remp3'd them they would be totally unlistenable. |
Adam Baboolal 27.04.2004 20:49 |
Minidisc was measured as being the equivalent of a 320kbps MP3. The only reason I mentioned this was because I was thinking of all the people who don't want to download such a big file that had originally been from minidisc. Modem users, maybe? The resulting MP3s at 320kbps wouldn't have sounded any worse if they were encoded well. Sorrrrrrrryy for wondering. :( |
thanks freddie 28.04.2004 08:45 |
Thanx great show, will leave connection open as long as it's possible. That means that i will be connected the whole day, so anybody can get this one to. |

**Possible Alert** again... I see that one of the new music torrent downloads on the Supernova site is...THIS ONE! Did you submit it to them? Or are they being sneaky? Peace, Adam. |
Saint Jiub 28.04.2004 10:09 |
If sharing music is the objective, is not additional torrents for sharing a good thing? |
Henry V 28.04.2004 10:19 |
I take it you need the hub to download? |
Adam Baboolal 28.04.2004 13:20 |
No, read the last torrent thread. White was not happy that other sites would hijack the file. And no, you don't need to be on the hub to get this concert. Just download a torrent client. All details should be within this or any of the previous threads. Peace, Adam. |
Saint Jiub 28.04.2004 13:43 |
I do not understand White's objection. Should not White feel proud that these concerts are shared, even if it is done outside his torrent? |
Saint Jiub 28.04.2004 13:44 |
Double post |
Adam Baboolal 28.04.2004 16:13 |
It's the same torrent... |
Saint Jiub 28.04.2004 21:59 |
What is wrong about the Supernova site sharing the concert as well? The object is to share the FLAC concert with as many people as possible - Is it not? Why does it matter if people get the concert from Supernova instead of Whiteman admin? |
Richard Orchard 28.04.2004 23:18 |
I think the initial concern was that people downloading from suprnova.org were less likely to share the file. They would just hit and run. However, the stats are showing 40 seeds and 70 downloaders - so things are going OK. I like the suprnova site - i go there all the time. the next time i seed a show, i'll probably submit it there. |
Saint Jiub 28.04.2004 23:26 |
OK - Thanks Richard |

Bullwinkle wrote: What is wrong about the Supernova site sharing the concert as well? The object is to share the FLAC concert with as many people as possible - Is it not? Why does it matter if people get the concert from Supernova instead of Whiteman admin? In theory I dont object to suprnova having it listed. In fact i think what i will do next time I post a show is post it to Suprnova which will save someone else doing it My concerns however about somone posting the file on suprnova is 2 fold. 1. They took a torrent file from here, and put it there without permission. Although a tracker uses very little bandwidth, it is still Richards bandwidth to use as he sees fit. The whole purpose of the Queen torrent site, is so that peoople know where to come to get some good concerts. That richards site link gets the hits and recognition it deserves. I would be happy if they linked to this forum and people could get the file from here, although i know it doesn't work that way. 2. As someone quoted me, in my opinion suprnova's downloaders tend to be more hit and run than to keep it open for others. As long as they share at least as much as they download then I do not have a problem with them downloading it. Whiteman |
Arnaldo "Ogre-" Silveira 29.04.2004 23:54 |
Hi, Henry. No, the hub is a different thing from the BitTorrents. This show is available in both, as far as I know. I have got mine, which is a great mp3 file from the hub. - I gotta put that CD back in the car cd player - :D To know the difference between both the Hub and BitTorrents, follow the links in the first post of this thread for info on BitTorrents, and visit the site below for information about the hub. link Cheers, Ogre- |

Hi all! Although I'm not a "big-poster" on this board, and I don't understand most of the technical discussion going on in this thread, I'd like to say a big fat THANK YOU to "whitemanadmin" for sharing this concert! I've always been a big Roger fan and finally I have the opportunity to hear one of his solo gigs. Thanks a lot again!!! |
Maz 01.05.2004 16:40 |
Is it just me or are the drop outs and skips on this boot? Anyone else having these problems? |
whiteman 02.05.2004 02:14 |
its not just you,i noticed a few faults in this show.good quality overall though apart from the breaks in sound. By the way i am Whiteman NOT Whitemanadmin so e-mails with requests for shows & technical advice are no good being sent to me! |
Maz 02.05.2004 12:19 |
Ok, thanks. Didn't want to have to re-download the boot if the problem was on my end. |
whitemanadmin 04.05.2004 18:54 |
As far I am concerned there should be no glitches on the Bootleg at all. I did rip this one in Windows using EAC not my normal CdParanoia in Linux, but I doubt that would account for anything. If you can give me specific times and markers then I will check my cd and make sure, and maybe upload just the affected tracks. Whiteman |
Maz 05.05.2004 00:17 |
I can give you specifics later, but off the top of my head, there were some "skips" during WWRY and Pressure On. I'll try to add a specific time tomorrow. Don't get me wrong or misinterpret my earlier post. I am grateful for the torrent; I was just checking to see if it was my download. |

I'm seeding, but for some reason I also have only 99,9% of the files, maybe because of a text file error? Still the flac files should be complete! |

thefallenqueen wrote: I'm seeding, but for some reason I also have only 99,9% of the files, maybe because of a text file error? Still the flac files should be complete! No. without the propper TXT file track01 can't be completed, because the client can't find that piece. If you have a propper track01 in your fileset (make sure it decodes properly wit TLH for example), please upload it to mediafire or rapidshare. Then we can all have complete filesets and I will create e new torrent that will download properly. this should then be taken down if possible. |
