Why oh why do old people go shopping in the evening or on Saturdays?
They've got all week to go but no let's go when people with jobs go. Let's stand in their way and catch up with Elsie from down the road while we block the aisles with our trollies (is that the plural of trolley?).
Why don't supermarkets offer 10% off on Wednesday afternoons or something?
If Asda can have a singles night why the hell can't they have pensioner day?
Another thing, people who smell of urine or sweat should be banned from supermarkets.
And don't make excuses about the elderly needing lifts from their kids to go shopping. There's more than enough coffin dodgers on the road to rule that out plus they get a free bus pass. And don't tell me they can't manage all those bags, it's common knowledge old people eat bugger all. That's why old men's ears get so big as their bodies shrink.
Good night!
Bless you Sir, I've just listened to Pulp's Help The Aged (my mum, surprisingly bought it) and that prompted me to listen to Different Class on the bus going to work. I'd forgotten how good it was.
Agreed a corker of an album, I also think 'Hard Core' is a very underrated album.
I hope I'm not being too impertinent by saying your mother showed incredible wisdom.
I hear you loud and clear Sir Archie.
We have a overabundance of oldies driving thier damn cars here. They go about 5 mph, when the speed limit is 35. They are a danger to themselves, as they are to other drivers who still have the capacity to operate a moterised vehicle. Give them a bus pass or something for pete's sake.
