in contrast to 'butchers' who do you think did the best cover of a Queen song.
i think ol' george michael defo. somebody to love was as good as it could be without freddie
I LOVE that version of STL with George Michael! Especially the part where the audience fills in with the "loooove" part and it sounds just like he sang it on the record.
My dad obsesses with that version. It's REALLY scary.
Metallica - Stone Cold Crazy (maybe even slightly better than the original, depends on my mood)
Valensia - My Fairy King
Nine Inch Nails - Get Down, Make Love
The Fifth Element - Cool Cat
Wow, Stone Cold Crazy by Metallica rocks. No sarcasm attached.
My only criticism is that when Freddie/Roger/(Brian?) say 'Stone Cold Crazy' at the end of the first verse in the original version adds a bit of depth to it...Hmm, I did have some intelligent comment a long time ago but I lost it.
When Stone Gossard and Mike McCready from Pearl Jam did an impromptu "Bohemian Rhapsody". Maybe not technically the best, but it was a mark of appreciation and I laughed my ass off.
