First of all, hi :).
Ok, I'm wanting to buy a few Queen book and I've read in another topic about "Freddie Mercury: The Definitive Biography".
So I looked a bit on Amazon, but couldn't find it o_O.
Although, there seem to be lots of books (most about Freddie), is there anywhere a (complete) list of those books, or do you guys have any suggestions (books which are truly recommended for example)?
Also, I just heard "Modern Times Rock 'N' Roll", but performed by Freddie (not Roger as like the Album), and I think it's much better with Freddie doing it :).
But that was a bootleg as you might guessed, are there official albums with that song performed by Freddie?
That's all for now, although I'll probably have more questions in the future, haven't been a Queen fan for so long :P.
You find a quite extensive bibliography on this abandoned website (maybe we should steal it) link
Many books are out of print, so you have to search in used book shops and online shops.
Modern Times... was never performed by Freddie on a studio album. Maybe there is a version in the archives, then it will be released in the Box Sets in 2035
Maybe a hard question to answer since everyone has his/her own opinion, but what would be the best Queen and/or Freddie biography (book) until today?
Freddie Mercury: The Definitive Biography ?
Thanks!
Well, there are so many books... I don't know, "Queen - In Their Own Words" is preety good, though it's not written like biography, it's completely made of Queen quotes, parts of interviews etc. Can't go wrong with this one. And there is this book, I have it on my comp, called "Brian May - Queen and I", I can send it to you if you want. It's really long with many details, I really liked it.
