Sorry if this has been on this forum before but the f%^&*&* shearch does not work at all...
So,I know that the two guys were good friends.
Can anybody tell me more about it?I know they had some kind of collaboration. How did they meet?Anything that comes into your mind is welcome!
Cheers!
Both Queen and Michael Jackson have always been admirers of each other's work.
Freddie and John for instance have always been fans of the Jacksons 5. Michael on the other hand has attended a couple of Queen concerts himself.
In 1983 (I think) Michael and Freddie recorded a couple of demos. One was 'State Of Shock' which ended up being released as a duet between the Jacksons and Mick Jagger. They also colaborated on 'There Must Be More To Life Than This', a song written by Freddie. (Both songs can be found on Kazaa... if you're lucky). Also they recorded another demo for a song called 'Victory', which I've never heard.
Rumor has it that Freddie and Michael ended their friendship when Michael caught Freddie snorting coke in his studio. Once again, this is just a rumor.
There are more details about Freddie visiting Michael on Peter "Phoebe" Freestone's book.
'Ear me now peeps!

guys there is alot of info on the internet about it... careful some are kinda untrue to what the books and documentary has to say.
I personally think MJ is a freak. I do'nt lke him being related to Freddie. I think MJ was a bitch to Freddie...Getting Freddie's new white pants all dirty and muddy in lamma shit. They came all the way from America. Damn you MJ!
I'm just joking. Even though MJ is a freak. But I love the J-5...It's like two diffrent people. Hmmm...
MJ version of There Must Be More To Life Than This is quite horrible, I think... the song is my personal favorite, but besides my bias that there's no greater voice than FM, MJ is off-key and shaky overall in the recording.
I just got to hear There Must Be More... Its OK. The one thing it proves is how much better a singer Freddie is than MJ. I can't wait to play this for friends. They can't compare. I know this is a demo and the usual "bells and whistles" haven't been applied. But it's clear that MJ's voice is studio enhanced. He sounds like a child. Whereas Freddie has all teh depth & power we're all used to hearing. MJ is a freak, maybe not as much of a freak as he is today but he was clearly heading down that path. The most amazing thing is that MJ is still a black man in this picture w/ Freddie & John.
I think its great my Queen fans around my area thinks its Freddie touching a level with greatness but I tell them straight its Michael touching a level with real greatness not just another pop king but the king of the royal family of rock!
and how true was I to say that!!
