LOL AC :)
It has been denied that a more substantial version exists and as far as I know nothing more than what you hear in the film has surfaced. I'm sure there is at least slightly more. I doubt that they started the tape rolling and just happened to start and end right there :)
As far as I know, no substantial version exists.
This was not recorded as a "song" - but as an "add libbed" phrase at the end of one of the session tracks (I forget which one) - so the tacking-on of this end piece, to another track (in terms of design) isn't that too far off the beam.
However, I do believe that it still exists in it's original acappella form - which if available - would have been a nice additon to the mash-ups "NY At Last" Remix!
True.
Sometimes I wish this Freddie had sung each and every song in the world. Okay, at least some more songs :)... Recently I thought about Nina Simone's "Sinnerman" sung by him. Would sound fantastic.
I tend to hijack topics, I'm sorry. But after JSS's reply there isn't really anything substantial to say anyway.
Except that I agree with you Hank.
I often think it was a pity that Freddie just didn't book himself a day at the recording studio, played a stack of Karaoke CDs - and sang like a pub singer.
Imagine the wealth of covers he could have left behind!
Human: Did you book yourself a day at the recording studio, played a stack of Karaoke CDs - and sang like a pub singer?
Freddie Mercury: No I didn't book yourself a day at the recording studio played a stack of Karaoke CDs and sang like a pub singer. What's book yourself a day at the recording studio played a stack of Karaoke CDs and sang like a pub singer like?
Human: Are you stoned?
Freddie Mercury: Do I look like it?
Human: Sorry.
Freddie Mercury: There is no need to apologize.
