This book borders onto the homophobic. It's sad and disrespectful not only to Freddie's memory, but to gays/lesbians everywhere. EDIT: This book is homophobic. Freddie's death was a part of the Gay Mafia plan? Bullshit. |
pma 11.03.2004 04:51 |
I do think this translation really doesn't deserve to be "news" on this site. Then again, this is just my opinion, I'm sure the freedom of speech-people disagree ;-) |
Saint Jiub 11.03.2004 21:42 |
Perhaps this "bad press" is convincing many not to buy it. Perhaps some naive people would believe this nonsense if not informed otherwise. What self-respecting Queen fan would knowingly promote these beliefs by buying the book? I think the right path has been taken by exposing the book for what it is. |
bolan 18.03.2004 12:43 |
How day us gays be made fun of. This is freddies memory we are talking about and it is horrible to talk of him in such a way. And remember that men in tight whiteboxers are hot |
Godiva 19.03.2004 13:45 |
Have u read it till the end? Maybe just give it a chance.... But....er....just do as u want. |
Mr. ProDJ 24.03.2004 16:55 |
>Have u read it till the end?< Unfortunately no. Most of these guys just repeating someone’s opinion, they’ve read sometime ago, when russian-talking people discussed this book. Most of these posts were taken from queenonline forum. :( It’s very sad. |
adina 26.03.2004 01:28 |
Seriously now - some of the interpretations are good, but there's a very serious attitude problem which really overshadows that. And when Freddie first got AIDS - or rather HIV, since you don't get AIDS at once, you first carry the virus - nobody knew what HIV was and that such a disease existed -- let alone the fact that nobody could foresee that it would first be attributed to the gay community, and later seen for what it really is... |
pma 26.03.2004 07:38 |
"Most of these posts were taken from queenonline forum. :( It’s very sad." None of these posts have been taken from their forum. Get real. Ever considered the possibility that we and people there might share a common opinion, that being that the book is extremely homophobic fanfiction. The only thing that's sad is the people who actually believe the "theory" or fairytale presented in the book. The proof presented by Ahundova is so very convincing that I don't know how we didn't figure out the gay mafia conspiracy before, such as how the author cannot even imagine Freddie's noble face committing homosexual acts. Wow, we're all sold now. No turning back now. |
Mr. ProDJ 26.03.2004 17:29 |
Ha-ha. Very funny! In fact, this book is not about gay mafia or others "theories", you’ve mentioned. First of all this book is about lie. Maybe it’s a stupid fanfiction, but the author of this book is the first one, who publicly said, that most of the people, called themselves Freddie’s friends are liars. That they lied in their books, in their interviews – all of them told absolutely different stories about Freddie, so we never know where is the truth. Ahundova gave here opinion – tried to find out WHO WAS REAL FREDDIE MERCURY. If you disagree with her, then give your version, but don’t be passive! Don’t seat back at your sofa and say something like “Yeap.. Ya know, of course Rick Sky is a little sucker, and I don’t like his book, as well as Freestone’s… But I don’t give a shit… I know, that Rick is lying, I know that Freestone and Hutton tells absolutely different things about the same… But I don’t wanna find truth… I’m too tired for it… The truth is out of here… X-files, you know…” Sad. :( |

Hey - I was a little scared at first, but I've seen that this topic is not as I had imagined. So here are a few of my thoughts. Yes it's true there are so many versions of Freddie's biog. This is only because he was so so very COMPLEX, and no-one could ever tell the complete story. This has nothing to do with a murder or conspiracy. But Ahundova's attitude, as I said, really overshadows her (as I know this name is a feminine Russian last name - please correct me here if I am wrong) most valuable points, and those being that we, as FANS, should try and see the Good in Freddie, and feel really sick when others try to slander his memory - regardless of what he actually did, which she doesn't know about (he really WAS a man of extremes - but perhaps he had his reasons? It doesn't help to make him either only a saint or only a sinner). This attitude includes horrific accusations - now I'm not saying that there are no lies in the various biogs, but that tone??? What is better about it, compared to the others??? And as for the New Age stuff, that's a really ugly fear-fuelled description - ripped off programs such as the Pagan Invasion - and she talks about ripping off each other! Pot calling the kettle black. He did serve GOD with Music... because in the Zoroastrian religion, we are all born to do something for others, and this includes any talent that we may have (so if we make the most of it, we do GOD's will). But look around - is anyone put off by any band saying things? There are far more "political" bands out there, bands that could even overthrow political regimes if they wanted to - I think it is very dangerous to assume the "cult movement" attitude (the "they're all after me" thing). We only need to use our OWN LOGIC to get through this - and LOGIC implies good AND bad, not a war between two supposed sides, as OTHERS present them to us. By the way, there's not only two religions in Queen Music, listen to One Vision, and maybe Mustapha, and Innuendo - maybe if Ahundova had, she would've died from terror. ONE religion??? "Don't like religion, it tends to fuck people up" and "A sensible religion, is just a contradiction in terms" - both Roger quotes. What's the sensible thing then? Somehow only LOGIC comes to mind... |

:-S I've lost count of how many Bio's i've got! |
Mr. ProDJ 10.04.2004 18:22 |
>>I've lost count of how many Bio's i've got!<< Have you seen any differences between them, or were they licked one from another? :) >>Hey - I was a little scared at first, but I've seen that this topic is not as I had imagined.<< Well, I think there's nothing to scare about - everyone shoud say, what he thinks about this subject... >>This is only because he was so so very COMPLEX, and no-one could ever tell the complete story.<< Even basic facts? Yes, he was very COMPLEX, but he was not an alien from another planet! And if there exists a story (for example) by Freestone, where he say, that Freddie spent hundreds of nights in gay clubs, then I wanna see photos? WHAT? There are no photos? So where were fu*ing paparazzi??? Freddie spent the whole nights in the same gay clubs, and no-one made a pic? What a hell? I don't think that "He was so so very Complex" can be an answer to all that questions. Also, I dont think, that it will give an answer to this: if there were no pics, no paparazzi, nothing at all, then why everybody believes to Freestone??? Why no-one called to the justice? I don't know answer. But it gets closer and closer to... conspiracy. >>This attitude includes horrific accusations - now I'm not saying that there are no lies in the various biogs, but that tone??? What is better about it, compared to the others??? <<< Yes. Ahundova is a maximalist. Maybe she's wrong in that point, but she made this discussion possible - thats why she's better then others. She gave us a different point of view - it doesn't metter now is this point of view wrong or right. The fact is, that she shown everyone, how much lie was in that Freddie's bios, we've all read. About religion: the question is - has Queen wrote religious songs? Most of books dosen't say a word about it. Ahundova wrote. Now, we can dibate about it... Was there ONE TRUE RELIGION (or it came after ONE SEX POSITION;), or My Fairy King was completely based on a zoroastrian poem... We can talk about it (i'm goona say, people already started to talk about things, they never talked about before). Ahundova's book was a great incitement. Let's hope, that it is just a begining ;) |

I Read as much as i could bare. This book is absolute rubbish. Queen productions should take the bitch that wrote this crap to court. |
Mr. ProDJ 12.04.2004 16:52 |
To the court? Yep... this should be really interesting... But they won't... They afraid :))) |

Is "The Pied Piper Of Hamelin" by Robert Browning a zorro-austrian poem? Don't think so... Give us a break with the paparazzi paranoia. There are no pictures of numerous famous gay people visiting gay clubs (Elton, George Michael and so forward) or having sex or kissing men either. I guess it's a conspiracy too. Freddie Mercury, the noble zoroastrian virtuos munk, who never visited gay clubs, but held his 39th birthday party in one (Henderson's, Munich) and any fool can see him there on the "Living On My Own" video (except Russians...) This glorious nobleman who never even kissed a man but yet this sites picture gallery shows him doing so (where are the pictures of him kissing women?) Who's friends were all family people (but the author can't name a single person and ignores his gay clique members like Peter Straker, Kenny Everett and so forth). Oh the nobleness of such a character. Aaah. I have seen the light. Paul The Con-Dj, you were the biggest ignorant cunt in audiogalaxy and I'm so thrilled to see you are still your own cretinous ignorant self. But now with added homophobia, but I guess you people are born with that. Plonk. You have to be more than one sandwich short of a picnic basket to find the book even close to convincing in its ludicrous allegations. Why is it so hard to believe that we all having ACTUALLY read the book entirelyh find it rubbish and extremely homophobic hate-mongering? it is homophobic hate-mongering, ficticous, vulgar, repulsive and not to mention boring as hell. But where you come from this sort of neo-nazi preaching is evidently acceptable behaviour. Thankfully the real world is more tolerant. |
Mr. ProDJ 13.04.2004 18:01 |
>>Give us a break with the paparazzi paranoia.<<< US? Who are you? How much of you need a break? BTW, you can take it if you want ;) >>There are no pictures of numerous famous gay people visiting gay clubs (Elton, George Michael and so forward) or having sex or kissing men either.<< Lie. >> Freddie Mercury, the noble zoroastrian virtuos munk, who never visited gay clubs, but held his 39th birthday party in one (Henderson's, Munich) and any fool can see him there on the "Living On My Own" video (except Russians...) << Yes... pooor fool russians. Unfortunately we saw this video... We also saw Brian there... Is he gay too? Infact, that was a private party - it could be in any club. I think, that Freddie chose this one, for its great style (it is just MY OWN DOUBT) >>This glorious nobleman who never even kissed a man but yet this sites picture gallery shows him doing so<< Give me a link, please! >>(where are the pictures of him kissing women?)<< Uh... poor russians. They never saw Livin On My Own video... I don't know what country are you from. Infact I don't give a damn.. But you should watch, for example Freddies video "I was born to love you" ;) (not that one, that was made on "made in heaven" films (however, I'm sure, you prefer the Heavens one...))) >>Who's friends were all family people (but the author can't name a single person<<< OK. If you don't know their names, then I'm gonna open this BIG secret to you! Their names are Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon. Enough? >>and ignores his gay clique members like Peter Straker, Kenny Everett and so forth).<< Ignores?! Read again - I think, she wrote too much about them ;) >>Paul The Con-Dj<< Please, I am ProDJ, ok? >> you were the biggest ignorant cunt in audiogalaxy << Really? Very interesting information! Should I proud? >> I'm so thrilled to see you are still your own cretinous ignorant self. But now with added homophobia, but I guess you people are born with that. Plonk.<< I think you should relax... Drink some water... And after that I want you to say, where did you find any kind of homophobia in my words, or you should give your apologise. >>Why is it so hard to believe that we all having ACTUALLY read the book entirelyh find it rubbish and extremely homophobic hate-mongering?<< Again WE! Is that you - more then hundred unique visitors on my site every day? Is that all you? You don't like the book, but still come back again and again to read it one more time? Are you masohists? :) |

"Paul The Con-Dj, you were the biggest ignorant cunt in audiogalaxy and I'm so thrilled to see you are still your own cretinous ignorant self. But now with added homophobia, but I guess you people are born with that. Plonk." This post shows just as much intelligence as the poster accuses the Pro-DJ of having. I'm a little tired and saddened to see the gay issue being such a big problem with so many people. |

Is all you can really find from the book about "hate towards gay people? and explanations for galileos" ?? If I remember right.. there were hell of a lot stuff about freddie's childhood in Zanzibar, and the explanation what happened to his personality and "becoming the gay himself" after being assaulted by those pederats in boarding school. Other stuff I found newly interesting was the way the author defends freddie's memory right up till the end against the press, and those other biography writers who only sees him being the gay icon of the 80'. She's not actually promoting hatred for gay people, but to those who only sees freddie as gay and his legacy as product of mad gaymans' megalomaniac goals in commanding his life in his flamboyant style. Other authors doesnt recognize the person behind the phenomenom.. Ahundova does, its another issue how deep and correct she is in her analyzation about the real FM. In fact, she admits freddie being gay.. and that homosexualism is something universal and exists, and freddie "was" one of them due to those factors that affected his personality in his early stages". but he was also bi-sexual to some degree, thinking about his relation to mary that lasted those 7 yrs.. I believe like ahundova says that the real freddie could have only really love women, because women reflected better to his complex emotional needs.. He never really loved any of his male lovers in the same way as female-lovers. males were rather just physical amusement and friends for him.. since males are not generally as developed emotionally. altough born gay males tend to have better birthable emotional readiness. It's something genetically. Yeah.. thats all folks for now.. Ps. Sorry for my poor english.. Im finnish and thus I reserve the right to be imperfect. |
