Today in the UK is National No Smoking Day - the idea being to encourage people to stop. Some supermarkets are reducing prices on products such as patches & nicotine chewing gum to help people kick the habit.
Fuck 'em :-)
there should be a national no smoking millenium :-P
that'd be great...
but who'd keep up with the days/months/years/centuries?

I always smoke more on No Smoking Day, it brings out the rebel in *cough* *splutter* excuse me, *aghhhhhhh* *cough* *splutter* *agggghhhhhhhhhh* that's got the bastard. Yeah the rebel in me.
"I saw my history teacher smoking today - last time I spoke to her she hadn't smoked since Feb of last year..."
Is that the effect you have on all of your teachers, Alli?
"My poor Psychology instructor is a raging alcoholic now because of me."
You seem to have that effect on people... *downs a bottle of Jack Daniels* You rilly shood shtohp thaht... *passes out* ZzzZzZZZzzZzZzzzzzzZZZZZzZzz....
I tried stopping on New Years Day and lasted until about 5.30. Then I decided to quit apart from one joint a night (I have three prolapsed discs in my spine and I find a wee blaw before bed helps).I lasted until 4.30.
Now I am on a diet and the thought of quitting terrifies me.
Bob> I remember you quitting last year. Are you back on the Royals again?
fatty.
The first cigarettes I ever tried were cheap menthol ones and I'm pleased to report that those put me off ever trying anything else, particularly when I chain smoked two when I was drunk and vomited into a camelia bush.
Then Polar Bear had to help me home when he put Greatest Hits on full volume (and on repeat) and I was too incapacitated to turn it off.
I even made it to school on time the next day.
