Try living in a trailer in Kansas :-P
I thought it was a bit too early for tornadoes. Back in May '99 one hit just down the road one mile from me.
BTW, it's been raining here off and on for a couple days.. mostly on all day so far. Nothing threatening though.. except I did knock my exhaust out of place driving through a puddle and now it's hitting the ground. Too wet and cold to work on it right now, so I'm stuck.
i know...AT 212 PM CST...SPOTTERS REPORTED A TORNADO AT HIGHWAY 51 JUST NORTH
OF SPRINGTOWN. A TORNADO IS STILL POSSIBLE WITH THIS STORM AS IT
MOVES NORTHEAST AT 50 MPH. PEOPLE NORTHEAST PARKER AND SOUTHEASTERN
WISE COUNTY SHOULD TAKE COVER NOW.
Living in Indiana, we know tornados. I saw a show on tv once that showed tourists from Europe taking a "Tornado Tour" with storm chasers. They went LOOKING for tornados. Thought they were thrilling. Yeah, they may be thrilling when you WANT to see them, but try living in a tornado prone area and jumping when you hear the tornado siren. Especially here in Indiana when they usually come about two or three in the morning. I guarantee that those folks from Europe would not find tornados so fun if they had to jump out of bed at two in the morning, run to the basement, and wonder if they would have a roof left when they went back up. Tornados. Hate 'em.
i think back in 94 in another suburb of Dallas a tornado did hit at night heard the roar of the twister saw a lil bit of it during the lightning show...that night was a nightmare for a few friends of mine living in that part of town..and yeah Texas is a part of Tornado Alley...the sure sign it is almost(or it is now ) spring in Texas is when the local news does a 30 min news info special on spring like weather..
