A little piece of a recent interview...
"BB: Yes, there are many very cruel jokes about the boy bands in your musical. But this didn't stop you from recording We Will Rock You with Five... And now, there's that Pepsi commercial, when this song is sung by Britney Spears, Beyonce and Pink...
RT: (Laughs) All of us can make mistakes. By the way, all those things were Brian's ideas... "
...I KNEW he wasn't happy with that type of stuff. ;)
Please, Rog...you got to watch hot young ladies in gladiator outfits?
That would be like offering me a lifetime supply of Hershey's kisses with almonds if I would agree to appear in a Pepsi commercial.
ya, knowing roger, i bet he wore his sunglasses often. (he wears his sunglasses so he can look down womans shirts without them noticing)
I think roger had something to do with the commercials. knowing horny little roger, he at least had a choice if who was in the vid.
then, now I feel like only Brian is the main Queen brain.
every day I even more get the idea or the feeling that Queen is dead (not the music, yes the band). Freddie's dead, John is exiliated, Brian is doing his best for not being forgeted and Roger is, as somebody's brother said, Brians little drwaf...
don't kick me for that, I'm the first who's disappointed.
Hmmm! Mr. Opiniated strikes again. RMT is a real rocker for him to "bow down" to commerical pressure wasn't easy. Even BM wasn't happy with the result of the Pepsi "intervention" but hey the music business has become a whore to corporations. I really wonder what Mr. May thinks of of the Pepsi-sponsored music-downloads. He's been very vocal in the past speaking out against musical piracy on the internet wonder if this corporation piss him off. It sure seemed like it!
Listen up Queen fans and fans of real rock music here's your wake up call honey!
FYI--
These corporations and huge conglomerates own almost every label and every venue in the USA and Europe, Clear Channel owns many radio stations and music venues across North America. When Ms. Jackson decided to show off her "boob" the outrage turned into a corproate showdown and now that you know that truth. It's time to revolt! No corporation should have the right to dictated to me or my daughter what I want to hear or watch. I'm sure if you want music that's worth listening to to survive you'll agree.
While I do not agree with what Ms. Jackson did and the timeframe she did it in, (i.e. the Superbowl.) I do agree that she was a catalyst in exposing these corporate music whores for what they are. I'm disappointed to think that Queen assisted in this "destroying" of their signature anthem. Not that they had a choice, in this corporated crappy music scene these days. Especially to the younger generation who buy these corporate crappy records.
I agree with Roger with all my heart and soul and hopefully someday very soon these so called corporate-controlled pop-diva whores will disappear or fade out and music will again belong to the fans of good rock and roll.
The saving grace is that bands like:
Green Day
Blink 182
The Darkness
Muse
Radiohead
Jet
Good Charlotte
The White Stripes
and many others (thanks heaven) will survive the music shakedown because it's coming my friend and very, very soon.
FIGHT THE CORPORATIONS!
DON'T GIVE IN!
and Mr. Taylor you are RIGHT! Please speak out, you'll find that there are many, many fans who will back you up sir! 100 percent! GO ROG!
Kriz ;oO
bless his little roger heart...Queen, brian and my lovely sexy roger are much much much much much X1000 better than all this advertising crap and really should get back to what they do best...rockin our worlds...or at least stop while the band Queen have a little bit of dignity left...aaaaah i love roger...he can do no wrong hehehe ;D
*crycry!* Maybe I should be a Rogerfan right now... (if it realy is Brians idea!) But maybe Brian just likes to make music... That wouldn't be so weird... I don't think it is for the money... Brian 90 million and Roger 80??? You don't need much more than that!
