Ther best Queen cover band is not Dutch, believe me, they are all English and from Nottinghamshire, they are called Mercury, their sound is superb, lightshow is stunning, and their concerts sell out all over Europe, check them out. link
We already played 3 times in the UK. Important gigs, like two for the Mercury Phoenix Trust in Birmingham and one as the first bands from outside the UK at the Official International Queen Fan Club Convention.
We played the Prophet's Song there for the first time. Next time if we will play there, there will be another huge surprise... *wink* :-)
Check out the reactions by people that know about these things on our website under Special Events.
Sorry dude, but I really dislike people using other news items to plug their own band. No problem in promoting your band, but please use your own space next time, ok?
Just to clarify things:
First of all, Richard Orchard typed the first line of this story. We didn't use that in our promo story. Maybe Richard can verify this. On our own website we only use quotes by people and will not make things up to make us look and sound better.
Second, Greg Brooks wrote a review on us for the CD booklet after I asked him to write something, because he has seen that particular gig. I think he knows about what is good and less good. We only feel honored by it.
We're just 5 musicians that do this for a hobby next to our normal jobs. We only rehearse 3 hours a week and already reached this level. We're damn proud!!!
Other than that, good luck with your band!
So you play in the band Johnnie?? Cool!! I frequently visit the website of The Miracle. Do you come to the North of Holland in the near future?
When (if) I get married in the future, I will hire you!!!
Well Harvey.........I still wonder why you even try to talk about things you really know NOTHING about....
I have seen Miracle loads of times just as other coverbands (that are not even worth calling themselves a Queen coverband) and for your information: Miracle truly are the best coverband there is!!!! They were the first non-English band EVER to perform on the International Queen convention in Prestatyn. The even played the Prophet Song LIVE!!! No band (not even Queen) has ever dared to take such a risk.....All the other bands I have seen only sing songs from Greatest Hits II. How pathetic is that!!!! Also, most Queen coverbands try to be Queen, which I personally find extremely sad. They put on a wig or a moustache and try to immitate the best musicians the world has ever known.
Miracle however, wear their own clothes (no weird "Wembley-jacket"), do their very own performance but are the only ones that have the real Queensound!! Watch and listen before you judge matey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sweet lady, try to stay sweet hey, when someone calls themselves a Queen cover band, i expect them to impersonate Queen in sight and sound, a act that only rehearses 3 hours a week are basically taking the piss, Queen spent hour upon hour rehearsing, practising, experimenting with their sound and visual show, why, because they were perfectionist's, most Queen tributes i have spoken to, tell me they too spend every spare minute getting things as acurate as possible, basically we are paying our money to see impressionist's, not some airey fairey rip of merchant who can't be bothered to put the time in.The groups i have seen, Mercury, Killer Queen, Magic etc etc, tour all over Europe, Asia and the middle east. Roger Taylor even hired Mercury to perform a special show just for him and his friends, why Mercury, because he had been correctly informed they where the best, and he agreed, he said " they completely blew us away, watching them was so errie", RT words not mine.

If I want to see somebody that looks like Queen, I will turn watch a real Queen concert. Dressing up to look like Queen is cheesy.
hi,
it is certainly my opinion that The Miracle are the best Queen cover band in the world. they are so, so great. A real highlight of the Queen convention for me. I hope to see them again next time i go to europe.
The fact that they don't dress up is a real bonus. Bands that do are always hard to watch.
