Is he still alive? i thought he had AIDS, so 13 after... does he still live? |
Simmer 26.02.2004 17:01 |
Jim Hutton is still alive. |
Mr. Scully 27.02.2004 02:46 |
I don't think he has AIDS. I thought he was only HIS positive. |
The Mir@cle 27.02.2004 03:52 |
Even if he has AIDS... with the medicine of nowadays you can become hundred years with this virus. |
runy 27.02.2004 04:12 |
wow, that's interesting, does anyone know for sure if he's still alive? It would be interesting to see his picture of nowadays. By the way, why you say that he's hot Hiv for only 13 years? why do you count from Fred's death? Maybe Jim Huton got HIV earlier? And probably now he's having Aids if he's still alive. |
Penetration_Guru 27.02.2004 04:35 |
"Does anyone know for sure" Well, the first answer seemed fairly confident. Why not try believing them? |
Jjeroen 27.02.2004 05:52 |
Maybe it helps when more people confirm? Yes, Jim IS still alive and he lives in Ireland. He works as a barber again (unless he quit recently), and yes he does have HIV, so he sais himself. Last time I saw was about two years ago in a tv-interview. I must say, he looked quite alright. He has become a bit older of course, but you couldn't realy tell he is sick. |
Mr. Scully 27.02.2004 06:13 |
The only problem is that he drinks too much alcohol, otherwise he's relatively healthy I think. But then - who am I to judge others... |
Lawyeris 27.02.2004 06:17 |
Who'd agree with following statement - "He had to die instead of Freddie"? |
roland 27.02.2004 07:42 |
totally disagree. |
roland 27.02.2004 07:43 |
just because FReddie means more for us, you can't say Hutton's life has less worth. |
queenboot 27.02.2004 07:46 |
Silent Assassin idiot!!!! i think the world will be better without YOU |
Jjeroen 27.02.2004 08:23 |
I heard a lot of them, but that is the most stupid thesis I heard so far today... |
Mr Mercury 27.02.2004 09:28 |
Robyn you hit the nail right square in the head with what you said. |
SlightlyQueenMad 27.02.2004 09:52 |
I totally agree with Psyche Star. And yes, Jim is still alive. I would like to meet him :) |
Penetration_Guru 27.02.2004 11:04 |
Oh dear. Jim Hutton's musical legacy is gargantuan - his last five years work has been groundbreaking and you want to kill him off to bring some singer of disposable pop songs back instead? There are some strange people on this planet |
Lord Blackadder 27.02.2004 13:09 |
i know he was defo alive from at least about the year 2000 because he was interviwed for a freddie mercury program |
jeff payne 1680 27.02.2004 15:09 |
Hell Jim's a nice guy and he's well and alive I saw him 14 months ago in Cork in Ireland |
Daburcor? 27.02.2004 15:31 |
"Jim Hutton's musical legacy is gargantuan..." ROTFLOL!!! Priceless! |

"By the way, why you say that he's hot Hiv for only 13 years? why do you count from Fred's death? Maybe Jim Hutton got HIV earlier?" 'Cause he had to promise to Freddie his last ever will - so, it was last ever Freddie's fuck... |
Lawyeris 01.03.2004 01:31 |
"Who'd agree with following statement - "He had to die instead of Freddie"?" I'm sorry for that, never thouhgt in that way myself, even dont know why I posted it here? |
runy 01.03.2004 05:58 |
"'Cause he had to promise to Freddie his last ever will - so, it was last ever Freddie's fuck..." Then he was a complete IDIOT! :) |
roland 01.03.2004 10:50 |
sorry, when i said that i was too lazy to make complete sentences. well, in his book he says, he knew from his Hiv virus since 1989 or 1990, don't know. |
The Real Wizard 04.03.2004 14:19 |
"Even if he has AIDS... with the medicine of nowadays you can become hundred years with this virus." Where did you get this piece of blasphemy from? As far as I understand, today's AIDS medications just prolong the inevitable. You still experience the decline of health, but it's just a slower process. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. |
Lawyeris 05.03.2004 01:56 |
The great NBA basketballer Magic Johnson from LA had HIV positive, but after 10 years he recovered |
Mr. Scully 05.03.2004 04:24 |
Now maybe I'm stupid but I've always thought that if you're HIV positive, you will simply remain HIV positive until you die, there's no way to get rid of the virus. In most cases HIV develops into AIDS, in some cases it doesn't. In Freddie's case it did, in Jim's case didn't. Current medicine can make your life with AIDS longer (10 more years for example) but that's about it. |
FriedChicken 05.03.2004 05:30 |
Thats right Martin, Some people with the virus do get Aids, and some people don't. And it's a fact that a lot of white people are immune for the virus. |
SallyJ. 05.03.2004 07:58 |
The only time I heard about people who were immune to the virus was on tv in a documentary about a group of black prostitutes in Nairobi. I hope someone will find out how that can be, and that they can use that info to develop a vaccin/cure. Aids is very underestamated these days, people think to lightly of it. It's still very dangerous, no matter how long you can live on with the proper medication. And nobody knows why one person develops aids rapidly and the other person is hiv infected without getting aids for years. I think it's shocking how many people have sex without protection. They complain about smoking, things in food etc. that migh cause cancer, etc. etc. but they have no problem with un-safe sex. There are also quite a few other diseases you can get infected with through sex. And those diseases can also be life threatening. |
FriedChicken 05.03.2004 08:01 |
Maybe immune was the wrong word, I meant that it's a fact it's harder for white people (especially white males) to get aids |
S@turn 05.03.2004 08:04 |
cant believe that Niek, what are the facts that prove that? I read many reports about HIV, but never something like that |
FriedChicken 05.03.2004 08:26 |
Discovery Channel :) White males have some kind of gene that makes it hard for the virus to attack the defence system. It was on 'Sex Sence' a few weeks ago. They tested it on rats, rats with the gene, and rats without. The rats without got Aids, and the rats with the gene didn't. |
Nathalie_queenfan 13.03.2004 13:13 |
I do NOT hope that Hutton has AIDS!!!! Men...a lot of people are dying from that disease!! |
the oppositionist 13.03.2004 13:29 |
SJ was right- they noticed how those protitutes had been exposed to the virus repeatedly but had still not become infected. People often forget that AIDS in itself causes the secondary infections that lead to death. People with AIDS die from flu. Yes, we have some medication that makes it easier to keep away the secondary infections, the danger is that now we think we are safe. |
Brianmay1975 14.03.2004 10:48 |
Hey, I'm new in here, but I've recently heard that Jim has written a book about Freddie or should I say his life with Freddie. And I know some fans didn't like this book. Does anyone know anything more about it? By the way, I've never heard anyone talking about Winnie, the Munich barman Freddie loved when he lived there. Is he still alive, does he have AIDS too? |
-fatty- 2850 14.03.2004 11:17 |
Unlike Freddie who as we all now know faked his death in 1991, Jim Hutton faked his entire life. Jim died at birth but so sure was his mother that he would have grown up to be Freddie's last lover, she contacted Max Cifford who with the use of doubles and special effects managed to convince the world that Jim Hutton was still alive. What makes it even more tragic is that Freddie himself probably had no idea that the man he thought he loved was in fact resting in a Donnegal graveyard. I have proof of this but Freddie(who is alive) has obtained a gagging order preventing Robert Maxwell (who is only half dead) from running the story. fatty. |

About Winnie... he died of AIDS About Jim, he is extremely healthy! I met him in the beginning of february in Dublin while I was there for business (and drinks) and we had some pints (8 or so) haha.. And he told me last week that his blood level(s) are in a way the same or even better than the (good) blood level of an average Irish person! He was even given the oppurtunity to quit the medicines (which is not a good thing, because the levels of HIV could rise again to a high level in a couple of years). So Jim sticks to his medicines... He told that there are several levels in HIV, and he has the lowest level at the moment (down to almost zero!) ... and that is just a miracle (lookin at the number of years that Jim had HIV)... He enjoys life, but he sticked to his medicines the last 16 years or so ... And Jim, if you are reading this, I hope you are ok with this info I gave. Just to reasure that you are very ok, and thanks for the good time in Ireland! |
