I was looking at the Fan Club site and they have a Breakthru 2004 banner displayed. The exact dates aren't listed, but it will be in June in Cleveland, OH! I am so there! And I won't need to fly this time!
Look foward to seeing you all there!!!
I guess since Cleveland was a success two yrs. in a row & Dallas was a flop in terms of attendence, they decided to go w/ what works. If it ain't broke....
That's a bit harsh.
Just because Dallas was (allegedly) crap, the entire Western half of the US doesn't even get a chance?
What about the East coast?
Florida? Combine it with Spring Break :))))) - on second thoughts, lots of women dressed as Brian flashing their genitals may be too confusing....
What about Spain? or France?
I'd like to have a convention nearly to be able to go. I mean, there could be an European convention on UK or France or there in the middle of Europ.
wouldn't be great?
cleveland is 17 hrs away from me :( i do have relatives there that i've never met...wish i could talk my family into going to visiting them and get me an extra plane ticket!
What's your point? I didn't say it was crap, somneone else did.
Incidentally, I think the same principle should apply to the Uk conv too...
And Mr Joseuifco - go organise one! The australians did, the dutch did, I'm fairly sure the argentinians and the japanese did too.
Excuse me son, but if you scroll back to my second post I never used the expression "crap" in regards to the Dallas Convention. I said attendence wise it was a flop, down about 2/3 from the 2002 convention. It's not harsh if you state the truth.
The western half of the US is relatively sparsely populated. Cleveland is almost perfectly "centrally" located. Almost anywhere on the Eastern half of North America is with one day's drive. Dallas was too far away for most to drive to. As far as flying to Dallas goes, the price of airfare was outrageous because two airlines controlled the market there. Cleveland airfare is much more competitive for those that need to fly from the west.
Given the disappointing attendance of last year, a safe choice of Cleveland is understandable
I just looked at the official site, QUEENBREAKTHRU.COM, and I may not be able to go after all. ZOIKS! $75 per person to attend, $89 a night for the hotel, not counting food, drinks and whatever else it could end up approaching $400 for two days. And that is for me to go from South Bend which is a five hour drive. I cannot imagine what it must cost for someone to go cross country or from overseas. It is probably worth it, but it is a lot of money to come up with...
there is always a range of fruit, finger foods, subs, pizza, bagels and pastries, popcorn, water, tea and coffee through out the weekend
that will help off set some of the food cost not all mind you
***this of course depends on the number of people attending and affordibilty***
