this is what Brian said on his soapbox :
"Of course our memories of Budapest in 86 are very strong - it would be one of my favourite shows to see on a DVD in the future"
what do you think about it ? Set list too close to Wembley ? Use of high définition film ?
Ughh.
I don't see why this has to be released on DVD so soon. I agree with you Neil, the set list is almost identical to Wembley. I've seen Budapest. It was a good concert, but not as good as Wembley. Sure it'll be great to release it on DVD, and with special features and so on. If Brian is really considering this, it is just too soon.
Brian should release some of the 70's concerts. A while ago, in his soapbox, someone asked him if Earls Court '76 will ever see the light of day on DVD. Brian hinted a possibilty. I just hope Brian goes through with this instead of releasing another concert from the Magic Tour.
I agree, a 70's show would be nice. I still think they would release a group of performances from milestone shows of the 70's. It seems more pratical to do so. Of course I 'd love a full unedited concert DVD release!
70's concert please. There have been at least 7 shows officially released on video (3 on DVD) from the 80's and 90's, but only one show from the 70's (0 on DVD).
Releasing another 80's show instead of a 70's show would be an adventure that approaches redundacy.
Great! Great!
Pick a wound and pour some salt in it will ya, Adam? ;) :P jk
Oh Adam! It's my phrase! *cackles evily*
Hmmm I've been using the phrase 'too soon' too much too soon. Perhaps I should quit the phrase before it gets old too soon.
Darn! :o
Oh and to answer the question...
All these plans are going too fast, too soon!
*shrieks*
Hehehe although they are rumours, but I like thinking on the fast lane.
Right, I'll stop hijacking the topic. Adam started it.
*points at Adam*
buwahahahahaha
The 70s would be more welcome, but the WHOLE Budapest on DVD would be a welcome addition to my collection- far better concert than Wembley IMHO (performance, not the audience)
on the whole I'm suprised that Queen Prod. havent announced which DVDs their working on.... of course we'll get GVH 3 later this year, which is great, but what about the live DVD not to mention which album their gonna release as a DVD-A!
Yeah in the future - but just after releasing a gig from that very tour - not yet
I would like to see a gig from the early 70's - then early 80's then late 70's then bakc to The Magivc tour or maybe The Works tour
I would like to see a gig from the early 70's - then early 80's then late 70's then bakc to The Magivc tour or maybe The Works tour
Nothing from the works tour is worthy of a DVD
What's wrong with Budapest?
I'd love to see this on DVD.
You can't beat good old high quality FILM transferred to DVD as opposed to VT.
Probably the finest Queen concert ever recorded.
Performance and technically.
Anyone know what film format is was filmed in?
I also heard a rumour that Milton Keynes will be released on DVD this year around april/may.
And looking at the cleaned up version on GVH II i think that this will be he next sho on dvd.
But thats my thoughts.
I have to say I was very very shocked when I went to Dubai and found a collection of great Queen Dvds in every big shops. First of which was the Airport.
Man they got it before England did! We will rock you Wembley, Freddie Tribute '92, I think In saw greatest hits 2 cant memba, but what I did see and could not get cause my wallet was thin was the Queeen live in Japan 85 or 84 cant memba
So if Anything we should be expecting that one to hit over this side
(I pray cos I dont wanna spend a return ticket just for that)
hehe!
I don't think the next Live DVD will be Budapest 86 nor Milton Keynes.
Budapest isn't that interesting because it's basicly the same show as the Wembley DVD (what kind of extra's will tehy fit in that one??) and Milton Keynes 82, they could have cleaned it up a lot better for the GVH II DVD. I have sound of that particular part and it sounds better than on the DVD.
I think Queen Productions will come up with some things we won't expect.
"Plengel too late my friend,, Milton Keynes is alreadly floating in the Middle East so it seems lol!"
Just a bootleg. Not an official release. It's just the VHS from the TV Broadcast in 1983, transfered to DVD.
No no its a release fa real! all those I mention at the top, are proper releases, I mean they are not vcds, or from a stall, I found these DVDs in the Airport shops in Dubai, with English wordings and copyright laws etc... so it must be a genuine "slow" release.
Dont think the up tight golden Dubain airport would except such a cheap quality if it were lol!
One thing thats shocking is that I saw these last year in July!!!!
its the closest to Uk that I discoverd this releaese during my holiday....
although on my way I did see it in Singapore, India, and Jakarta south east Asia. Once when I got into Australia.
and here I am in England right now trying to convince you all lol!
It's a bootleg nothing more nothing less.
"Are there any other Queen recordings on celluloid?"
That low res 8mm rubbish from Japan 75.
I have Munich 79 that looks like 8mm poss 16mm.
Even some of the German stuff from 82 looks like it was shot on film.
Not sure about Houstan 77. Looks like typical low res ntsc to me.
They still remain bootleg releases Azmandaman, no matter how professional tehy look. There isn't any official release of Japan 85 (or was the Japanese Laserdisc official???), Milton Keynes 82.
