Hi,i like the new homepage it's better than the old one. I'm just asking, did FM have a middle name? I know Brian's is Harold. Roger's is Meddows and John's is Richard but I wondering if Freddie had a middle name or was his full name just Freddie(Farookh)Bulsara/Mercury.
P.S I got this info from 'Queen The Definitive Biography' by Laura Jackson.
What do you mean middle names are not common outside england?
Many many people have more than one name. I don't. But many people do. It's not something "english"!
p.s. this biography by Laura Jackson is not authorized
Middle name is not an English speciality. In Spain people seem to have many names :-) I never manage to fit a Spanish name onto the envelope when I'm sending a package.
But middle names are not common either. In most countries you'd have troubles finding somebody with a middle name, my country included.
Quote:No, it was Farokh and later on Frederick (sp?). Just one name. :)
Freddie never changed his name to Frederick. He was Farrokh, then he was Freddie. Just Freddie.
"Check the real names of Portuguese and Brazilian soccer players..."
Such as "Kaka", "Ronaldo", "Rivaldo"? I never understood if these are first names, middle names, last names or if they have only one name (because the TV always shows both names in case of all players except for those from Brazil).
People from Brazil / Portuguese tend to have a lot of last names and a lot of first names.
In Iceland entries in telephone books are sorted by first names because they don't really have family names like we have at all.
Hi thanks for the replies and Malina thanks for the info Freddie Bomi Bulsara eh? Who would have thought it? Perhaps Fred's sister Kashmira's full name is Kasmira Jer Cooke after Fred's mum
My grand-father have 10 middle names.. his full name is Antonio José Machado de Barros Ferro de Madureira e Bessa de Sousa e Botelho Teixeira Pinto Pereira. And yes, I'm Portuguese!

That's are nicknames (their "artistic" names), like a Elton John(Reginald Dwight) or Freddie Mercury (Farookh Bulsara) :)
So Mercury legally was their last name? (I didn't know it)
Well someday I will change my last name and I will be Jorge Mercurio (You will call me "El Señor Chico Malo") :)
