I was already upset about this Sunday's final episode of the series. But today, they were on "Oprah", for a sort of farwell thing...And, yes, I was crying. It was so sad.
Now where are the positive female role models going to be on television? Please do not say "American Idol".
Love,
Mrs. G
The "L" which I think its about lesbians right? It's on Showtime, not on HBO.
Still, I never liked "Sex and The City". Believe me, I tried to like it. I just can't take too much of vagina jokes, and moany women pushing 40.
It's interesting that I can clearly remember when the show began on Channel 4 in the UK back in 1999, there was a great storm of publicity in the media with various women's groups coming out and saying how these were terrible role models for women and wasn't it an awful show...
I used to watch it back in those early days, chiefly because it was on before "Queer as Folk", of which I was a fan. That series, of course, begat Showtime's "Queer as Folk USA" which has been in some way responsible - at least through influence - for the L.
I watched, "Sex & The City," all the time with my mom on Sunday evenings. Its sad to see that it'll be leaving :-( Anyone watch, "Six Feet Under?" Truely its a weird show but nonetheless really good.
I love Six Feet Under more than anything else in the entire world.
It's just a shame the 3rd season dcould't quite sustain the sheer utter quality of first two seasons.
What I want to know is when the fuck is season two coming out on DVD? There's rumours that it's this spring, but nothing's been confirmed and HBO just keep dragging and dragging their feet.
Hurry up you fools!
