Yesterday, dad bought a car.
Just like that, out of the blue, apparently because he was tired of taking the bus. So he bought a car. For money I assume we're nowhere close to having at the moment. An old Mercedes. Now we have two cars, and mom's complaining (hopefully as a joke) that she wants to use the same amount of money on something SHE wants.
I live in a madhouse. I thought me and dad was the only normal ones, but I'm actually the only sane one.
Someone tell me they know someone - I don't care if it's family, themselves or anyone else - who did a similar stupid and uneconomical thing?

well my cousins are obsessed with cars, and they work on other people's cars, and a lot of times i see a new car in the driveway all the time, but i don't always know if it's one of theirs or if it's one they're working on.
so.... kinda, yea.

My brother bought a new Mustang when he couldn't afford it.
Well, I do know a lady, who bought an old, tired van from her ex-husband, who can be an asshole, who owns the junkyard across the street and up the hill from her home. The van is a piece of shit and he did not give her any sort of title for it, so it will be a little difficult to get rid of. She already had a truck, but wished to have a van, because she has many grandchildren and they do not all fit in her truck. She is not good with money, I would say. Or at least does not make good choices. She also, has a rather hefty man stay at her house, who drives semi's. He broke a leg of her couch by sitting on it. And yet, has not asked him to replace it, because she is afraid that he will break a new one as well. But he pays rent and also lets her use his car. She also lives up the street from my bitter, homosexual uncle and his "room mate". His room mate is a very nice man. My uncle is a nice man, most of the time. But some of the time, he is just bothering this lady, who is, in fact, his sister. But he does help her clean her windows.
Love,
Mrs. G
I'm forever searching for a Mini Cooper or a Leyland Mini..I'd give my driving feet for one.
