Ooooh, I will definitely make a point to check that out today (hopefully!).
And Paul, Mr Vincent went to your site and read a few of the stories, though he said he couldn't remember which ones exactly *grumble*. "A Piece of Cake" was one and he said it was "really weird!" lol Now he probably thinks you're a psycho or something... ;-)
Good stuff me old mucker and I'm looking forward to the next one. One minor point. Where the fuck is Wallace Road?
Serously, it's good stuff and if you need any info on old Edinburgh gimme a nod.
fatty.
Ah yes, that. I'd been intending to find authentic place names later on and just stuck random made-up ones in for the time being. That's the only section of the story set in Scotland, be it past present or future. We'll see how it goes, thanks for the offer and I'm glad you liked it!
Next up will be the cunning explanation for how, after starring in stories set in 1879 and 1898, Dr MacArtrey is still only a middle-aged man in 1952...
Stay tuned.
Is it because he's related to James Bond? James Bond never seems to age, it's very strange. In theory, rather than jumping off a Russian dam in GoldenEye, he should have said to M "What, with my back? You're having a laugh. I'm not 56 anymore!"
You know, I've began writing a sitcom. I didn't know if anyone here knew that, I don't suppose you would have seeing as I hadn't mentioned it before, I don't think. It's damn good, damn, damn good, even if I say so myself. Me and three other people from my uni are getting together to do it; one person of the four has had previous writing and filming experience as well. In 3 years time, we'll be on BBC 2, I'm telling you now. Well, it won't be us. Originally the acting parts will be us but then we'll probably audition for...I don't know, David Jason, Peter Kay and Steve Coogan or someone. And Richard Wilson. "I don't believe it" that's what he says.
If anyone wants to read it then I'll freely mail SOME of it to you. Not all of it though, maybe the odd scene. I mean one scene, not the oddest one available.
Read both of the new parts yesterday, Paul. Really enjoyed them. I don't know if I was just being stupid (don't comment) or what, but I thought 'G' would turn out to be Gideon - especially the way you described him. But no - James was actually Gideon! *shock, horror*
Anyway, looking forward to more :-)
