:) Does anyone know if or how you can use the 'pause' or countdown time between tracks to actually have sound in them rather than just pauses?
For example, some CDs will have little spoken intros, or live discs will have the crowd noise/introductions in between tracks while the player time display stays on zero.
I think you misunderstood or I mispoke... Disc at once is for having no gaps between the tracks.. I'm talking about purposely making gaps (Nero calls it pauses) but having sound during those pauses rather than silence.
I've heard it referred to as 'countdown' or 'minus' time.
One example I can think of is a Kool & The Gang CD I have.. 'Celebration/The Best Of' something or other. There's a track called 'Tonight' which starts with a count-in "One, two, three, four". Well, this is heard before the actual track starts, while the player sits on zero. It's quite a clever little trick and I wanna know if I can do it with Nero :)
Yeah you can - when you have the wav in the tracklist window, simply right click, then properties and a box will come up. There will be an option for pause - normally 2 seconds. Edit this to whatever you want! (But remember to always leave the first track as 2 seconds!)
Only some CD players do the countdown thing, others will just, as you say, display 0 or the seconds will be added onto the track before.
Hope that helps!
Thanks D.J. but I've already been using the pause feature. What I'm asking is how to have sound during the pause so it doesn't show up as being part of the track itself.
