Was listening to Rock it and thought, "why does this similar to something...?"
Does anyone else think that this song definitely has something in common in terms of sound with Mr. Roboto? (Is that why that Fileshare dude got confused?)
Well, nobody else answered so I'll just say.. this is really reaching :) I hear nothing similar between the two.
I can't hear any connections between 'The Invisible Man' & 'Ghostbusters' either though. The funny thing is, 'Ghostbusters' is actually a clone of 'I Want a New Drug' so if all is true, I'd like to thank Huey Lewis for writing 'The Invisible Man'. Fun song.
Songs that I think sound similar:
The Invisible Man - Ghoustbusters
Breahkthru - Boys Of Summer (Don henley?)
Under Pressure - When (Shania Twain)
Dragon Attack - Paradise City (Guns & Roses)
Mr. Roboto certainly has some Queen-ish elements, but doesn't in my opinion sound like Rock It.
omg invisible man and breathru sound so much like those songs to me too! i was gonna post something about it but didn't know the name of the don henley song...i also thought that dirty laundry kinda had a beat like i want to break free to it...
"actually, my friend, when he first heard The invisable man, he thought it was Ghostbusters"
Who is 'he'?
And I'll say it again. "Ghostbusters" is so much like "I Want A New Drug" that it was taken up in court and a settlement was reached, so if "Invisible Man" is anything like "Ghostbusters", it's also like "I Want A New Drug".
There is a song on the Pokemon 2000 (US) soundtrack called "One Heart" that starts off like Hey Jude (Beatles) for the first two words and goes into a different tune afterwards. Fucked my mind up when I was trying to hum Hey Jude for a while after I first heard One Heart cos I kept ending up humming that song before I got annoyed with myself.
:P
"And I'll say it again. "Ghostbusters" is so much like "I Want A New Drug" that it was taken up in court and a settlement was reached..."
I've got to say, I can hear the similarity there, but I probably wouldn't notice anything if I didn't already know about the argument. They aren't THAT similar.
<< Speaking of INXS, how about the similarity between the keyboards in The Show Must Go On and Never Tear Us Apart? >>
I thought I was the only one who found those songs similar.
