Wow...when I read that little news clip I was surprised....I guess we wanted a more sensible commercial to be shown during our super bowl or people did not want to hear Britney trying to sing...OR they did not like the fact that Queen was shown for only one second....it was a crummy commercial anyway...doesn't make enough sense for the Super Bowl I guess....We don't approve of scantly clad costumes here in the states!;-)
Pepsi has produced a special advert for the Super Bowl to promote their co-operation with Apple. Apple and Pepsi are giving away 100 Million songs free in Apple's iTunes Music Store. The advert features Green Day's version of the classic tune "I fought the law".
The ad is available on the net now: link
Maybe America is boycotting Britney!! (LOL) That would be different indeed...
I won't miss the commercial, only the music that was in it (minus the shitty vocal job the three singers did). Enrique could have done a better job if he's been given the chance!
Apple, huh? The same one that's in copyright litigation with the Beatles' Apple Corps Ltd? HMM!!!!
Actually, if you check Brian's site, you'll find that he was helping to create multiple shorter versions as well as the full 3 minute one.
Peace,
Adam.
EDIT: B = "As in most of these cases (we're old hands at ads now) there are many different versions, all edited and cut differently, for a 3 minute, a 2 minute, a 1 minute, and a 30 second slot."
