Where did those things come from, and why was the band apparently so obsessed with them?!?
They're on the Body Language single sleeve painted on the bodies, and they're also printed on the center label of both the vinyl single and Hot Space vinyl album. (I think they were on the outside of the Hot Space album too, on the back, as well as printed with the lyrics.) And of course Freddie had those outfits with the arrows.
Apparently the arrows are supposed to represent the direction of body movement during dancing or sex or something. But I'm wondering if the band thought it was some kind of trendy new concept or something...like it was going to become some new recognized symbol? (Possibly a "sex symbol"(?), pardon the pun :)
I really liked the ideas of the arrows honestly.
---------> ------------> naughty bits! Why the hell not!
BTW I really like this song. I think Im one of the few fans that does :P So sue me!
the "red arrow" body painting appears first time (Queen related) during Freddie's Royal Ballet appearance in 1979- one of the dancers is painted that way. Freddie might have got the idea from that time...
