Just read this story in Computer Active mag. It says:-
"Customers of a drive through branch of Burger King in the US were served with insults instead of burgers after hackers seized control of the restaurant’s wireless intercom system.
One customer lost the urge to dine at the store in Troy, Michigan after the intercom system decided to dole out health advice instead of the burgers he had ordered. “You don’t need a couple of Whoppers. You are too fat, pull ahead.”
Local police were called in to investigate the incident after the manager probed his staff and found that none of them had been responsible.
In addition to jibes about obesity, the hackers swore at customers and told them that products were unavailable, taking a bite out of the restaurant’s profits. The company is attempting to change the radio frequency used in the intercom system to foil the hackers’ fun. If caught, they face three months in prison"
Brilliant!!
Heres a link to the story link
Poor Burger King (they're a fast-food place like McDonald's). I also heard recently they scored the lowest in cleanliness of all the major chains. Taco Bell was no. 1 believe it or not, followed by McDonald's.

where i live its the opposite, lol. its all our little town restuarants (like our soda shop) and stuff... and then in cadillac michigan everything BUT mcdonalds are the cleanest restuarants
I heard this on the news here in Canada a while ago. I thought it was a little funny, but then again that store's losing money.
And I heard that Burger King scored the worst for health code violations in USA. One example is that employees didn't wash their hands after going to the bathroom.
"Would you like a Whopper infested with germs from my wiener?"

hmm... i shouldn't say this but im a bitch so i'll spill it... my brother worked at mcdonalds and everyone is supposed to wear gloves while serving food and he said no one there does that... NOW THAT is really GROSS
Its sorta funny- I saw the same news on a computer geek type board and everyone was feeling sorry for the hackers cos they'll get in really big trouble if they get caught. here everyones like "poor burger king". *giggles*
(Yes- I go to a computer geek board. do you have a problem with that?)
"Some people just dont have a sense of humor"
Oh I do, definitely. It's just, even though they probably deserved it, it would be funny if they weren't losing money over it. But then, they're the worst restaurant, so, HA HA.

Well, at the McD's where I used to work at here in Canada, everyone HAD/HAS to wash their hands before working, whether its as cashier or cooker. We never had one mention of gloves ever, and I wasn't aware that we were supposed to use gloves.
But then, we have a different government-backed system (Capital Health Care) which sets certain rules that are stricter here in Canada than in relaxed countries such as USA or Britain (unless I'm proven wrong otherwise - I shouldn't be saying this for sure, I'm just guessing)
But then, we Canadians always do things differently, don't we?
