Hello !! Me and my girlfriend are coming to London in February. We want to see the We Will Rock You musical the 21 of February.
When and where should we buy the tickets to get a good prize ?
I heard the musical is "sold out until late 2004" but whenever I see somebody going to London, he gets the tickets for a close date without any problems at all. Could anybody explain it to me? Is it only a marketing trick to pretend that there's a huge demand for it?
Brian and Roger pay homeless people 2 pounds each night to come to the Dominion Theatre to pretend it's sold out every night. If you'd go to see the musical three or four times in a row you would see lots of people in the audience who you saw in the audience a few days earlier too :)

There are a number of booths throughout London where you can buy last minute tickets for all the musicals, usually at half price.
So my advice to anyone who wants to see the musical - don't pre-book, just go down to the theatre district and visit the booths.
I picked up a half-price ticket for Taboo, and got a front row seat for that evening's performance at less than half price.
Anyone whose visiting London should consider seeing Boy's Georges musical as it's far more entertaining than Ben Elton's cack effort.
You can easily get tickets in London on the same day you want to see the musical. When we went 2 weeks ago we bought them just 3 hours before the show started and 2 weeks before we went to London I checked on ticketmaster.com for availability and it said it was sold out as well as on other sites.
Go to Leicester Square in London, there are loads of ticket booths and they offer them for less than at the Dominion box office. We payed about 23 pounds or so and got stalls which is downstairs and you have an excellent view! Even if 3 booths tell you it's sold out, the 4th one will have tickets for sure!
Exactly.
If you buy the tickets just 3 hour before you have less choice for the seats, especially if you are in a group of people and you want to sit all together. One day before is enough to get the seats you want.
Leicester Square (the "tkts" aedicule) is the official place where to buy half priced tickets, but there are many others in Cranbourn Street, that is the street linking Leicester Square with Charing Cross Road.
I'm going again on the 11th feb (got to take the wife this time) I booked the tickets yesterday (19th Jan) so no problem here I think its more for the weekend performances which in the west end are judged by for ticket sales, Taboo sold out through out the the week but couldn't sell at weekends hence its ending soon

More often than not on weekday nights, the back of the Circle is closed off because the show is no-where near a sell out. I know people who've got the best seats in the house an hour before show time.
