I know a lot of you own the FM Solo Collection Boxset and have probably listened to the ten CDs packed in with the gorgeous book. Question: which one is your favourite, and why?
Mine changes all the time. I've gotten into the Montserrat Caballe sessions and can't stop playing it! I can see why Freddie was so mesmerised with her voice -- it's so perfect and pure. She's a very talented singer and it was a blessing she and Freddie collaborated on the Barcelona album. I'm sure had circumstances been different and Freddie was still alive and healthy, he would have written an opera for her (with a part for him too, of course!).
well like you lisa , my favourite changes all the time at the moment i'm addicted to the barcelon sessions as well :) , especially how can i go on/guide me home at the moment .
"...especially how can i go on/guide me home at the moment."
I know I'm going to start bawling now!! I have to avoid both of those songs...from the first three chords, I turn into a weeping puddle on the floor. I think both are the most moving songs he ever wrote!
hehe lisa i get exactly the same thing as well ,because as soon as it starts playing......its such a beautiful song and lyrics to go with it , we are v.proud of freddie :D
YAY!! Nice responses from everyone!
How about the David Wigg interviews? I love hearing Freddie speak in a relaxed tone, not rushed like he did with the Torpedo Twins when they were doing all those films and interviews.
nope but if i order one i wonder if i'll get one ahead of yours :P hehe oh hey Lisa i'll get to see Greg and the rest of the band on the 31st :)... check the site they going on the road... link
ACKKKK!! *double thud*
I'm hoping Greg and the boys will stop by in Tennessee in the near future! I know they're going to St Louis, Missouri so they've GOT to stop by Nashville on the way home! *fingers crossed*
Barcelona. I think it shows the depth of Freddie's talents both in terms of his songwriting and his singing. Absolutely amazing and moving. How Can I Go On gets me every time. Freddie was ALWAYS (in my opinion) saying something in his songs and, of course, I think we all know what he was saying in this one. Very touching.
