Rolling down the road ...
I had a close encouter with a barreling spare tire that had evidently broken off from under a van or pick-up truck and somehow was roling down the road. It did $2500 worth of damage to the side of my 1994 Mercury Tracer, and the insurance company wants to total it. I don't want to buy a used or new car as my car has been reliable (and I don't want another car loan). I am considering not having the car repaired if the damage is not structural (only cosmetic).
I also found out that my vasectomy probably did not do the trick.
They say bad luck comes in threes ... what's next?
Oh well, I guess these problems are just inconveniences ...
"I also found out that my vasectomy probably did not do the trick."
At the same time? See, something good comes from everything ;) I've heard of losing control of other functions, but this takes the cake. Who needs Viagra when you've got tires hurling at you anyway?
I'm sorry. Couldn't resist. Sorry to hear things aren't going well. Hope the new year brings lots of good fortune for ya :)
Ouch, talk about a spell of bad luck, Mikey! *LOL*
And all on Christmas, huh? But I would seriously reconsider not getting your car repaired. Driving around in a beat-up vehicle kinda stinks!
Well, the auto shop said that there was only tire damage, so I will buy a roll of duct tape (for where the side of the front fender was broken) and keep the car (for 2 or 3 years hopefully) without fixing the body damage (and accept the auto insurance money).
You may recall, that I am an engineer and as such take little pride in my appearance or image.
And in case you were wondering, I will not be using duct tape to fix my (most likely) failed vasectomy.
... and contrary to what I may have implied, all this did not happen on x-mas day. The rolling tire mishap occurred on the 23rd and my doctor informed me of my unwanted non-sterility on the 15th.
But, despite these annoying issues, my x-mas turned out to be pretty good.
