Has anyone noticed how certain artists that some members of Queen like are despised by others
- Brian loves AC/DC, Freddie hated them.
- John loves Blondie, Brian hated them.
- Roger loves U2, Freddie hated them (mostly for being too political).
- Freddie and John like Prince, Brian and Roger hate him.
- John likes Bob Marley, Roger hated Marley.
It seems like Freddie and John got along better when it comes to R&B, Soul, and pop oriented music. Meanwhile Brian and Roger were more into heavy rock and metal.
If it wasn't for Hendrix, I doubt Queen would exist. Somehow Brian, Roger, and Freddie were hardcore fans of Hendrix, and that probably helped them to relate to each other musically.
they all loved beatles too. john said they were his favourite songwriters, fred said nobody's bigger than them, also we all know brian was crazy about them. roger commented he loved the revolver album. still I think roger was the less beatlemaniac in the band. they all four did love john lennon's solo music so much.
I don't know about john but the rest liked the bee gees a lot. brian, roger, fred and tim used to sing new york mining disaster, massachussets, world, words and songs like that to practice the vocal harmonies in the early days.
what do you expect, they're 4 totally different people. I don't know 4 people who all have the same likes and dislikes, not even 4 people in the same band

Woooah! Cool it there FriedChicken dude. No need to get all frisky.
I never mentioned that they must hate each other for not having the same tastes.
Somehow those differences helped Queen to become a more musically balanced and experimental band.
