In Crystal's Tales over on the Fan Club site Chris Taylor (Roger's roadie) mentions John 'The Prophet' Harris taping all their shows while he was with the band. link
Could someone name one good reason why QP couldn't put all the shows available on cd and release them as limited edition boxes for hardcore fans only? Sure that would be a box with 1200 discs, but I'm sure there are people out there who would buy it. They shoul keep it very simple - just discs with the dates and venues printed on them. The price could be 2000€.
"You might say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one..."
It has worked for other artists, such as Jimi Hendrix and the Doors why not Queen?
Probably because they don't have the time to overdub all the bum notes etc.!
I think they fear imperfection.
Also I am sure it has been brought up to the band and Queen Productions, but they probably don't think it's worth their time and money.
I would buy 'em even if they're €5000,=. It's worth it.
Limited boxset with DVDa's in stereo CD quality (10 concerts/disc), so 70 DVDs. But QP won't release it of course.
I just don't believe it!!!
Anyway, EVEN IF- it's not going to be Pearl Jam like thing- I would expect some OPERA OMNIA or RARE LIVE kind of thing. IF (!!!!!!) it's going to happen...
Whisperer, there is a huge difference between buying a bootleg which is a small percentage of a monthly salary and buying 70 CDs which are much more than 100% of a usual salary.

Queen Live Box Set 2016
Maybe there's a mathematical model which could discribe this =)
I think QP will release the live box set in 2216 =)
the grateful dead have about 800 soundboard recordings for official and free download in the internet and they release 4 of their best shows each year on cd,remastered.
dead heads live in heaven.
queen should at least release their best shows.what the fuck is greg brooks doing.
I don't understand why Greg gets any abuse at all (other than for sarcasm).
Anybody with more than half a braincell can figure out that Greg does not decide what gets released, when it gets released, or even IF it gets released. He just catalogues that which it exists, and when presented with a specific request, will suggest some options, one or less of which may be chosen.

Some combination of that group IS responsible for the continuing delay.
Still, at least by the time it comes out we'll get no parasites leeching it "because it's too expensive" - we've all had 3 years to save up already....

Hey, you've got a point here!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I think that Queen Productions finally heard the cry of the fans, cause the last 2 or so DVD releases were interesting.
