Did anyone see the Barry Manilow special that was on? It was superb!
Cindy Lauper was fantastic! As was Hose Feliciano. He played and sang 'Feliz Navidad'. It was awsome! I never liked that song until I saw him play it. He's blind. Another thing I never knew. Cindy sang 'At Last' and it was just amazing. What a powerful voice that woman has. Much different than her 80's stuff, and much much better. I love Barry and hes just great! A good show to bring us into the Holiday season, and the feelings of love and warmpth for the season.
Happy Holidays!
I missed that! What a bummer. I love Cindi. I used to dress like her way back in the day. I really love her music but I can't find my old stuff. I think it's still in a box somewhere from our last move in '96. Isn't that pathetic.
So really, Luc, Do you hate me now? I am feeling a little rejected.
rosanna is sad.
Hey Matt,
Lets see if I can remember this song that ment allot to me when I was .... gee...I can't remember. Jr. High maybe? Yes. Because my sister was in high school going with this guy named Randy. Now I remember. This was their song and I was secretly in love with Randy so I sang it all the time.
I remember all my life
raining down as cold as ice
shadow of a man
a face through a window
crying in the night
the night goes on
the mornings just another day
happy people pass my way
looking in their eyes
I see a memory
I never realized
how happy you made me
Oh Mandy
well go came and you gave without taking
but I sent you away
Oh Mandy
well you kissed me and stopped me from shaking
and I need you today
Oh Mandy
I'm standing on the edge of time
I walked away when love was mine
Caught up in a world
of up hill climing
Tears are in my mind
And nothing is rhyming
Oh Mandy
well go came and you gave without taking
but I sent you away
Oh Mandy
well you kissed me and stopped me from shaking
and I need you today
Oh Mandy
Yesterday's a dream
I face the morning
Crying out of breath
The pain is calling
Oh Mandy
well go came and you gave without taking
but I sent you away
Oh Mandy
well you kissed me and stopped me from shaking
and I need you today
Oh Mandy
Oh Mandy
well go came and you gave without taking
but I sent you away
Oh Mandy
well you kissed me and stopped me from shaking
and I need you

I was just thinking of Elvis today
and singing Veronica
Is it all in that pretty little head of yours? What goes on in that place in the dark?
Well I used to know a girl and I could have sworn that her name was Veronica
Well she used to have a carefree mind of her own and a delicate look in her eye.
But these days I'm afraid she's not even sure if her name is Veronica
Do you suppose that waiting hands on eyes, Veronica has gone to hide?
And all the time she laughs at those who shout her name and steal her clothes.
Veronica
Veronica
Do you suppose?
Did the days drag by? Did the favors wane? Did he roam down the town all the while?
Did you wake from your dream, with a wolf at the door, reaching out for Veronica?
Well it was all of sixty-five years ago when the world was the street where she lived
And a young man sailed on a ship in the sea with a picture of Veronica.
On the "Empress of India" And as she closed her eyes upon the world
And picked upon the bones of last week's news
She spoke his name out loud again
Do you suppose that waiting hands on eyes, Veronica has gone to hide?
And all the time she laughs at those who shout her name and steal her clothes.
Veronica
Veronica
Do you suppose?
Now Veronica sits in her favorite chair and she sits very quiet and still
And they call her a name that they never get right and if they don't then nobody else will
Well she used to have a carefree mind of her own with a devilish look in her eye
saying you can call me anything you like but my name is Veronica.
Do you suppose that waiting hands on eyes, Veronica has gone to hide?
And all the time she laughs at those who shout her name and steal her clothes.
Veronica

That song makes my heart heavy and reminds me of a once viverant and playful woman who has possibly lost her way due to aultimers or dementia.(sorry for spelling)
But I love the song.
Does anybody know the background on what inspired Elvis to write it?
And Matt, thanks. I’ll do that. Let me know if it works.
me ~ feeling a little better now.
