A 7-year-old boy was scolded and forced to write "I will never use the word 'gay' in school again" after he told a classmate about his lesbian mother, the American Civil Liberties Union alleged Monday. link |

That's sad- and also screwed up at the same time. |

It seems like the "Land Of The Free" is becoming to sound more like a phony phrase day after day. It's all thanks to dumbasses like Bush and Ashcroft who think that we still owe them something for our "freedom". Have they forgotten that it comes out of 25% of our paychecks? |

One of my all time pet peeves is hearing the word "gay" used, usually by teenagers, to mean "stupid". But this is absurd. What was the poor boy supposed to do? Lie? This one stunned me into silence for a while. |

I still think my answer was more accurate but when in Rome...invade it and say that it's in the American national interest. |
The Real Wizard 07.12.2003 14:16 |
"invade it and say that it's in the American national interest." Well then, of course that means it's justified. Why didn't you say so? ;) |
Daburcor? 07.12.2003 15:41 |
Being an American, I wouldn't DARE to defend this country from slander. The people here piss me off to no end. They know NOTHING of what life REALLY is about. |

Guitar Hero - the Bush Eviction clock sits at 411 days. Which is 410 days too many, if you ask me. |

Who will replace Bush? The candidates are all worse. The democrats best option? - someone who panders to confederate flag waving rednecks. |

"I think the Americans could use another 9/11 if you know what I mean...cos they deserve it rather badly...and especially for their treatment of us Canadians" not ALL americans are a big of dumbasses as the government. some of us aren't trying to send the whole fucking world to hell! fighting with iraq till probably 2020, arresting 7 year olds for downloading music, trying to ban gay marriages or anything to do with glbt (which isn't going exactly the way THEY planned), tearing down "adult" places within 500 feet from churches, and all that other shit that's going on. WHEN WILL IT BE OVER?!?! hmm... maybe when Bush leaves? SOMEBODY JUST GO AHEAD AND SHOOT THE FUCKER FOR THE SAKE OF THE WORLD!!!! *Today, President George W. Bush was assassinated.....* *WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!* okay i think my little outburst is over. *goes back to schoolwork* |
NoOneButYou1975 08.12.2003 11:20 |
arresting 7 year olds for downloading music dont blink or they will they are almost going to do that |
Krizzy 08.12.2003 12:07 |
Hey Yo! Lots of Anti-American setiment here, sheesh! You think it's wrong for the anti-gay sentiment but yet you seem to be Ok about bashing us Americans STOP RIGHT THERE!!! Not all of us are so bad I assure you. Not all of us like George W. Bush or as I call like to call him "Monkey-boy"! And NOT ALL OF US DESERVE ANOTHER 9/11!!! I lost three of my closest friends so I am a little pissed about that comment! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! Kriz ;o( |
behind blue eyes 08.12.2003 13:25 |
Krizzy, I'm so sorry for your loss. That was a God Awful day and months afterward weren’t much better. The pain and devastation of how many innocent were caught up in the whole horrific incident was and still is phenomenal. I live down in Texas and the shock waves of people's heart shattering energy could be felt all the way down here. We went out and bought American flags and hung them on our front porches. We bought candles and made shrines for the lost and their loved ones. We stood downtown several nights in a roll with our little burning candles. Asking God why and to hold those is so much pain. All for the search for an answer on why this had happened. And I'll tell you this. Our government has surely let us down. With their whole scheme of protecting us, letting us know what’s really going on on a need to know basis. And spending hardworking taxpayer’s earnings for their frivolous passions. Sometimes I wonder why we even have a government. Well perhaps if we had no government at all, all hell would break loose. I guess we'll never know until we cross that bridge. rosanna |
inu-liger 08.12.2003 13:39 |
Krizzy, I apologize. I just don't like the American gov't - they portray the image that ALL Americans are arseholes and should be hated. Bush was the worst thing that ever happened to America - PLEASE tell me you Americans aren't going to keep his arse in the White House next time the election comes up! :-o |
NoOneButYou1975 08.12.2003 14:36 |
just don't like the American gov't - they portray the image that ALL Americans are arseholes if you are just basing this on that all americans are arseholes then that is just plain ignorant |
MexQueenFM 08.12.2003 14:37 |
"Bush was the worst thing that ever happened to America " The worse thing to happen to America was 9/11, you ignorant twat |
inu-liger 08.12.2003 15:34 |
No, I meant the worst thing as in politician...I don't consider certain politicians "people", as they are certainly not human in some cases |
Lester Burnham 08.12.2003 15:35 |
Seriously, Dark. Don't fucking talk about shit that you don't know about. I can't believe you'd be that fucking ignorant to say that. Maybe Canada deserves the tragedy that happened on 9/11. You ever think about that? |
inu-liger 08.12.2003 15:37 |
Anyways, getting to the subject about this post... I disagree with the Americans on their views on gays. People should have a right to be gay or lesbian or bi if they want to, and anyone should be able to talk about it without getting repressed. My views on gays, as you guys can see, has definitely changed in the past year and so forth. I am supportive of gays now |
inu-liger 08.12.2003 15:39 |
"Maybe Canada deserves the tragedy that happened on 9/11. You ever think about that?" Canada, in communities outside of N. America, is a more respected country than USA. For example, the Afghans are very appreciative of Canada's peacekeeping force that are keeping their country safe, while the USA is at war with the Iraqis who are very pissed off at the Americans. So in other words, I highly doubt anyone other that maybe the Americans would attack Canada. We don't go bombing people we don't like for no reason |
Lester Burnham 08.12.2003 15:40 |
The only reason we'd bomb Canada is to make sure you (personally) are taken out. |
inu-liger 08.12.2003 15:41 |
"I can't believe you'd be that fucking ignorant to say that" There are some even more ignorant things I have either said in the past or would say, but I am not going to go there. I'll admit that I'll start controversy without thinking about what I am going to say before I say (or write) it |
Lester Burnham 08.12.2003 15:49 |
You might want to think again, because it seems to me that you don't have anyone here to support you. |
MexQueenFM 08.12.2003 16:05 |
"The only reason we'd bomb Canada is to make sure you (personally) are taken out" LOL |

"Guitar Hero - the Bush Eviction clock sits at 411 days. Which is 410 days too many, if you ask me." lol!!! You removed it from your sig. :( "Today, President George W. Bush was assassinated.....* *WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!" Nah, that triumphant day will never come. There's no reason to kill him like they needed to kill off Kennedy. "Bush was the worst thing that ever happened to America" Worse than Ronald Reagan? That's debatable. "The worse thing to happen to America was 9/11, you ignorant twat" Some apparent facts have recently come to the table proposing that it's very possible Bush planned 9/11 himself. If that's true, then Bush is far worse than 9/11 or Reagan. "Maybe Canada deserves the tragedy that happened on 9/11. You ever think about that?" My country isn't going to take a blow for one person's comments. And it certainly isn't going to hit the city where my girlfriend lives, either. If you wanna attack someone, pick on the frogs in Quebec who've been treating the natives like crap for centuries. And why must you people call Dark names? You're no better than he is (or anyone else here for that matter) if you're busy calling him names like an 8 year old. He's got an opinion just like you do, so don't cut him to shreds simply because you don't agree with him. Attack the problem folks, not the person. Grow up. |
NoOneButYou1975 09.12.2003 00:13 |

Lester Burnham 09.12.2003 00:55 |
I don't mean to get into an argument with you, Guitar Hero, because I respect you and your opinion...and I'll agree that calling Dark names wasn't exactly the most mature thing to do...but he did say some pretty ignorant things. I'm surprised that he would say such a thing and even more surprised that he would be defended. He didn't exactly say the smartest thing, now did he? |
NoOneButYou1975 09.12.2003 07:15 |

Like I said...I've said worse things (e.g. about gay people a few years ago) |
Lester Burnham 09.12.2003 10:08 |
And that's supposed to explain it? And I also didn't hear an apology there, which would be a pretty smart idea at this point, even if you don't mean it. That way, you'd get a bunch of people off your ass until you go and fuck up again. |
Jjeroen 09.12.2003 11:30 |
Ah, yes... the most recent gay-debate... I almost forgot about that one... Good thing you remind us. But that was not years ago, Dork-in-a-Tutu (hmmm, I do seem to remember the nickname that was given to you at the time) but only a couple of months. But let me guess: in the meantime you have grown older n wiser right? |
Banquo 09.12.2003 13:32 |
Years ago. Yeah right Dark it was less than six months ago actually. |
geeksandgeeks 09.12.2003 16:28 |
Guitar Hero - I only took out the Eviction Clock because I found this hilarious song parodies website with an incredible parody of the song "Jeremy", a quote from qhich is now in my sig. But if you would like it back...;) Howard Dean isn't pandering to rednecks with confederate flags, he's pandering to Southerners, because they are fairly conservative but have been cheated by the Religious Richt until their dying days. Have you been to the man's site? I think he's brilliant. Were I old enough to do so, I would definitely vote for him. |
The Real Wizard 09.12.2003 21:33 |
Never heard of him Geeks, but I'll check him out right now! And sorry Lester, I wasn't arguing with you specifically... sorry if you took it that way!! :) You're certainly one of the brightest posters on the board, and I couldn't see you and I getting into a real quarrel. "when you make comments like that then you ARE the problem..." And calling someone names solves the problem? |
Saint Jiub 09.12.2003 22:43 |
Mr. Dean also refuses to let Vermont governmental recordsbe unsealed from when he was governor of the state ... and it appears that he will get away with it because Democrats are the majority party in Vermont. What is Dean trying to hide? Geeks ... in ten years or so you will become older and wiser ... and become a Republican ... don't resist ... it is inevitable LOL |
Lester Burnham 09.12.2003 22:53 |
No! Geeks! Don't join the dark side! |
