Queen barely mentioned, most of attention on bono and Beyonce and it was said: "Great finale with the U2!" and they played a footage from "One"...you liars!!!
Yes it's true. It makes me sick...always Bono...Bono here Bono there. The concert had taken place thanks to the efforts done by Mandela, Dave Stewart and Queen and the fucking press always talks about how good and great Bono is.I'm not against Bono but I think it's just unfair towards Queen!
Sure MTV mentioned "Queen", but how much they would show of Brian and Roger tomorrow? Remember its a 90min version of a 5 hour concert! Lets say an hour of footage not counting the commercials @_@
As much as we love Queen, we have to keep in mind that Queen aren't a big name anymore. A name like Bono or Beyonce is big nowadays, and the average person will be more interested in watching/reading something with a currently popular name on it.
Well, were they booked as U2 ?...if they were, I'll bash them just to make you feel better ;-)
btw, people who see the MTV version can check out the
current WEBCAST feeds available at the 46664.com site. That is ONLY 73 minutes in length and missing a whole lotta Queen(less) (like the medley I recall being off) link
You can find Queen songs on that streaming moving the bar to:
- 29:28 for Invincible Hope and The Call
- 49:56 for Toss The Feathers
- 1:00:15 for Amandla, We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions
All the best

I thought the important thing was to get the cause publicised, not Queen?
If getting Bono and Beyonce generates press coverage, then isn't that part of why they were asked?
Ciao Carmelo! Benvenuto!!!
Ti ricordi, ci siamo visti al Queen Fan Club a Londra quest'estate!
