"“Anastacia has said she would like to do a set with us as a tribute to Freddie,” said May."
I'm looking forward to that one... and hope they pick unusual tracks. Which is very unlikely to happen.
I'm getting pretty sick of all those tributes. They did one in 1992 and we all know they (and we) miss him. The 1992 one was good so why making another one that won't be halve as good as the 92 one? Just how long are they going to keep saying "and this is for Freddie!" Freddie must be overloaded with stuff in Heaven
Ron, I agree. But I think she's just talking about 2 or 3 songs, which is no big deal, and I don't think they will mention Freddie's name at the concert. He has nothing to do with it.
This 46664 concert is not a tribute and certainly not for Freddie. But, Queen are related to the subject from a very personal point of view. If you know what the AIDS figures are right now, especially in Africa, than you cannot disagree with this event. Do you know what makes one sick? It's called HIV.
I would love the idea of a tribute for Freddie, who, by the way, died of the same illness the concert is about, and died on November 24, which falls in the same week of November 29.

erm am I blind or what? that line really says ...a tribute to FREDDIE...
:)
Yes Ron, but it is ONLY those few songs, and ONLY Anastasia feels it (meaning those few songs with her singing) as being a tribute to Freddie. The WHOLE concert is to raise money for the AIDS issue.
It sure seems to be a personal thing to Anastacia, or just to give more weight to her part of course. And what's wrong with a tribute? But I get your point Ron.
No, she should start the show with the clothes on, but when Roger goes off and sings I'm In Love With My Car, the costume will progressively change... so by the end of the concert, she'll have that neck-scarf and white short-shorts...
