I am extremely happy to have finally gotten a band going that has good chemistry, and I want to plug them. And I shall invite you folks to do the same.
My new band has finally picked out a name (a stupid name, but still a name). We are Looks, Wit, & Charm, and we are beginning to take on an alternative country form. We're all fairly skilled musicians, and we've got a few half-decent songs. Hopefully things will actually go somewhere.
Our keyboardist is setting up a page on the Net. If she ever gets around to starting, that is.
I sing and play guitar. The other members are a bassist, a pianist, and a drummer (our token male).
Tell us about your band.
Promote your band, eh?
"Flashy and the Flashmaniacs will be performing in your area this weekend!"
Your 'area'? I'm not sure I like the sound of that.
I'll take it though.
what? someones slandering me? huh?
*is confused*
btw- there was an idea of a band once upon a time, but it died a slow and painful death. its sorta sad, really.
*established band requires bass, 2 guitars and a drummer*
My sort-of boyfriend has a band and i would plug for it but I can't even remember what it's called all I know is that
1) every time I call him he's always rehearsing with them and
2) they just got a new drummer and
3) a violinist near me in orchestra went to see them perform. She said they sucked but she says that about everything. Loser.
I'm the guitarist in a band called 'Orion' we've been playing together for 1.5 years now. We started with playing other peoples songs (Golden Earring, Queen, Black Sabbath, Van Halen and so on) and we have a few originals now, and we're still writing more stuff. We recorded about 10 songs so far, and i'm quite pleased with the result.
We're looking for a new drummer, cause our current one wants to quit in january. he's too busy with work and school. But today our lead singer told me he found a great drummer (I hope it's a Ginger Baker/Mitch Mitchell type of drummer) ;)
I've been playing the Classical guitar for almost 8 years now(Started at 10) and 3 years with the electric.I once was in a band like 2 years ago,but it didn't worked out cause they said I was a "Show off".Well I was young and in some sort of way I had to prove something.I've mature and now I usualy only play instrumental guitar songs.I'm not thinking of joining a band(doing some solo stuff and main reason is school),well at leats for now.
