Number 2 in the greatest bands ever is one hell of a spot!
I borrowed Wish You Were Here from a friend, Shine On Me You Crazy Diamond is fantastic! I was suprised not to see them in the top 20 as well, but I guess they didn't influence too many people.
That program was broadcasted on VH1 Europe, by the way :)

YAY!
*is further shocked and stunned*
The Beatles. Not Nirvana?
Mandy is mystified. Is VH1 ill, do you think? Are they so sick that they don't know what they are saying or doing? Surely they would not have neglected to feed their unhealthy, necrophiliac obsession with Nirvana?
*is relieved*
When VH1 did their top bands list a couple years ago or so, Queen was even in the US VH1's top 10 (though not at #2). I think Pink Floyd was in the top 10 too (appropriately) but I can't remember.....
Actually, I agree with putting the Bee Gees in the top 10. Note their longevity, first of all. They created some incredible music in their time, but I don't know about having them in the top 5.
As for Floyd's influence, yeah, it definitely wasn't as big as that of The Beatles or Zeppelin, but they belong in the top 10 as well.
UB40? Never heard of them. British pop?
